OK, I know myself that I'm pretty fat, because I don't do anywhere near enough exercise, and I eat a lot of food (but not bad food, just lots).

The main problem for me, is that am I absolutely useless at everything single sport I've tried, other than Swimming, which for obvious reasons isn't easy to do.

The main thing I do is walk - about 40 minutes a day, but I know that I need to do more. I've tried to do sit ups every day, and it hasn't done everything.

What shall I do?

I was in the same situation as you a while back. I tried loads of sports until my PE teacher made me run punishment laps. From then on I decided to run 20-30 mins a day. I also decided i'll do a sport thats very active so I took up skateboarding and rollerblading.

Hopes this helps

convert the walk in to a run? if only in stages, start of with a little, build it up.

Plus why is swimming hard?

I walk my dog for about 2-3 hours a day in total that helps and when I got my dog I lost half a stone because she kept me more active so get a dog ;]and I got virgin active gym which is great :) but you will have to get your parents to join too and its like £50 a month for them so idk if thats a good idea but it has pools so its great and Mentor I think he means because like you have to go to a swimming pool and stuff its not like just going out and walking.

Yeah, go to the gym. Maybe run on the treadmill, and on the cycling/rowing machines for about 10 minutes each then gradually go upto 20 and half an hour etc.
Cut down on alot of food inbetween meals or w/e too if you are worried of gaining weight for not being healthy.

you know, id have to say treadmills are one of the most hilrusly stupid exsorsize systems in existance.
People take a bus, the pay to walk for 20 minutes then take a bus back.
You could for FREE have just walked there and back, and got even more out of it.... without haveing to pay...

It has been proven that walking is better then running...

It has been proven that walking is better then running...
Yes, walking is more energy efficant and therefor can be undertaken for a long period of time, and get you a further distnace without exsustian. Just like a car, people of otimum speeds for effecancy to.

BUT. Walking is less interncive, and not as fast, so its highly dependant on what you aim to achive and in what time frame to which you would consider better.

so the clame one is better than the other is realy a matter of opinion, and any ideas of a proven clame as misguided, it can be proved certain aspects are superior, but not that is is in all Better.

Well I suggest get off this game if your out of shape and get runing or just enjoy your day bike riding. When my football season comes along we are built to last threw hours of the heat to run takle etc... Gets hard
you should get a oliprical stair runing or a in door bike. You can do basicly any thing for an exercise walk your dog, Swim ,Bike, Play catch, Walk to school There are many things that you can involve your life in to get in shape like nothing.
