The reason for purchasing a legit version is that it ensures full quality of the product. Downloading 'cracked' versions of the game can be harmful, and the game itself doesn't have all the features as it would if you bought it on disc or through steam.
Why illegally download it anyway? the game is only £15 which isn't hardly a lump sum of money..

If you wish to purchase the original 1.6 version its £9.99 and titled 'Counter-Strike Antology'.

But if you wish to purcahse the latest version titled 'Counter-Strike Source' its £19.99.

Prices ranger from £15-£20, I bought mine last year and it was £20 but i've seen it in shops for £15. Depends where you buy it from aswell, some charge more or less.

if anyone hasnt noticed 1.5 is incredibly hard to get online sine WON closed down when *****s from Valve thought "hey lets create this ****ty new program instead of keeping the old system"

If you get the cracked cs you can only play on cracked server and its very hard to get a hold of :P
