I have an template, but its an image, how do I make it into a template and use it with Dreamweaver 8?

Yup, and if you cant do it. Post it and ask someone to do it. Or you could find some tutorials

Get fireworks or photoshop to slice it up for you. Or you could code it in CSS and tables (if you want) without the need for slicing.

Photoshop (ImageReady) can slice layouts.

Ive sliced it, wasnt hard lol, but what do I do now, I put it in dreamweaver, but I cant write over it or put other images over it.

Get the slices and put them as table backgrounds. Dont use Dreamweaver but it should be under something like table properties.

Its a bit dear, beings I have a crap job I wont be able to buy it cause I'm saving, but is their anywhere I can get a free trial.
You could allways get it without paying, but i wouldnt want to stear anyone into the bad side. I recommend going to www.pixel2life.com dreamweaver > Website coding
Theres a few Cs2 Slicing + Dreamweaver coding tutorials :d

No Problems. If It's Already sliced just put the images as the Table background in Table Properties.

Fireworks literally does it all for you. Forget about dreamweaver for slicing. Go get one of those 30 day trials.

I have fireworks full product, same with flash and dreamweaver, but I have sliced it in fireworks, but when its in dreamweaver I cant set it as the table background, does anyone know how to do it on that.
it will say something like
<tr colspan="4"><img name="whatever.png" src="whatever.png" width="12" height=12">
delete the whole image code but make note of the src and then change the code to this
<tr colspan="4" background="whatever.png">
