It just seems as you get homesick easy. How old are you? It will probaly go away when you get older, as you will get more independant.

Don't worry about it, you'll make new friends etc. Show that you're cool and maybe all the kids and teachers will like you. I would be quite scared of going to a new school, since nobody knows you, and you don't know what to do. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

I think its because you're not very independant, I think. You normally get more as you get older, move out, get a job, and stuff.

Maybe you're just going through things a little bit later than most? I'm sure its nothing to worry about.

Well think about it!

All your life you've most likely been under the guidance of your close friends and family a lot, and you will have always been around people you trust, and it's very unlikely you've actually been seperated from either of your parents for a while, therefore it's understandable you are experiencing 'homesickness'.

There is no 'immediate' cure for this unfortunately. All I can say is, you need to start by taking breaks away from your family etc. and show how you can cope and manage without them being their to guide you constantly. Start off with a period of an hour, and gradually build it up until you should finally be able just to go places and do things without the need for someone you really know to be with you.

Good luck with starting your new school, as I think I've already said in another thread? :s Anyway, it's always difficult starting a new school but just try and be confident and get on with people and get conversations going with them!

Well like you've said, you know it's just the initial fear thing and you have proved to yourself before, more than once that you can do it!

I think it's all just a mind over matter thing.

The more you think about how much your going to miss them, then it's going to hurt and upset you more, but if you just try and block it out of your mind and be thinking about other things all the time, then you should be alright! Just try and keep yourself pre-occupied.

Good luck mate!

You could maybe just listen to an mp3 player or something, or just play a game with yourself?

Something like... see how many red cars you can count, or how many white doors you can count or something? lol...

You just need to be strong, and if you think things are getting hard just think of a nice good time which you enjoy, or maybe think about how if you just get on with it the day will be over quicker and easier, then you can be home again.

I go to boarding school, and i know what it feels like to be away from family, you'll get used to it as you get older. If it helps, you could keep a picture of your immediate family with you. Whenever you feel home sickness creeping on, pull it out. I Dunno might work. =]

This happens to me aswell.

When I'm not near my parants, or don't know where they are etc, I always think they're in danger, or when I'm returning home to see them, they're hurt or something.

I usually dont like sleepovers cause im not used to the fact of not being out of my house and into a new bed or floor. Its normal for you to be scared. Its like taking an animal whos adapted to there father and mother and putting him as a petstore or shelter. Poor aniamls..Thats probably how they feel..

I used to get really bad homesickness when I was a bit younger, It will probably go over time, Theres no need to worry about going to your new school, I'm sure it'll be fine:)

and then like 1 time i almost got sick O.o
and like now i cant even stay there i usually end up going home

That happened to me once too, I still don't really like going to sleepovers, I prefer having them at my own house.
