Hey. I'm 14 and for a few months I've been getting these knee problems every time I excercise. i.e. running, playing football. I've been told my my mums friend to stop eating dairy products and it has helped a bit but.. still there.

It hurts just under my knee. There's a bit of a lump there and if I knock it then that's when a sort of stabbing pain comes but only for a second.

Any one had it before or know what it is?

Yeah, it is Osgood Schlatter's disease, I had this for a while (when I was 13, and earlier this year)

and now i'm 14, its gone it lasts for like a year or so, sometimes itll be fine, and when you exercise it, it will hurt again.

I had that, fluid started gathering in it, it turns out you can either get it from using the area repatively, excercising without stretching or excerising a lot after weeks of being incredibly lazy.

Yup sounds like fluid on the knee. I think you might need an op to get rid of it. :s

Nooooooo! I once had an operation on my lip. It was scary. :(

You don't need an op, just don't do training or extensive excersize for a week or two, and it can go down on its own. Excersize more and it will get larger and more painful.

I think you have Osgood-Schlatter (copy and pasted from above post) :p
My friend has it, and erm you need to take it easy, wear a band over knee to stop it from straining, see your doctor who will take you to a physiotherapist.
