Shouldnt all members of staff on foreign hotels know how to Read,Write and Speak English? How unproffesional of sulake to hire someone like that.
People in Russia don't learn English in school as they are not part of Europe so it would be near impossible to get someone who speaks fluent English and have all the other required skills

They do learn english? Anna Kornakova (The Russian Tennis Player) Speaks Perfect English. but with a russian accent.
Oh and btw, it says in the qualifications that they should speak english
Ants Edit: No, If you look at all the Finnish Jobs for sulake.com they all say "Fluent and Written In English" and there only minor jobs.
Whether as Most hotel managers that are foreign can speak english.
She may have went to uni to learn it ;l
You dont need to speak Fluent English - If you look on Sulake its only moderators?

they need english as in helsinki i think it's the most used language at their headquarters, and easiest to communicate in with all staff.
But i doubt it's mandatory for all staff, i think what she means is she isn't GREAT with fluent english.

They study English
But as Russia is such a big continent, they have the chance to choose, do they want to learn it, or not.
:)
Ok right I'm Russian here so I should know. Even though my English is perfect but that's just because i've lived in the UK for the past 13 years.
Anyway, there is a language problem in Russia as not much of the popullation know it.
Also, please dont take the example of Ana Kournikova as she's lived in America for some numerous years.
Yes it would of been pactically impossible to find staff who understand English, so therefore, don't be put of by that, if your English you won't find ANYONE whp can talk English.

since when has russia been a part of asia?
Usually people in the same continents look the same or have similar features.
Europeans
Americans
Africans
Asians
And Russians reside under Eastern European more than anything else?

Russia can be classed as Europian or as part of Asia. It belongs to Eurasia which is the supercontinent that is Europe and Asia...

History lesson time!
The COUNTRY used to be called the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) but was spserated into many smaller countries in 1991, referred to as the Commonwealth of Independent States. These are the current independent countries formerly part of the USSR:
Armenia
Azerbaijan
Belarus
Estonia
Georgia
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Latvia
Lithuania
Moldova
Russia
Tajikistan
Turkmenistan
Ukraine
Uzbekistan
Russia is formally part of Eurasia, as previously stated.
I hate this thread can it please go away :[
Great she spoke english saying she cant. Yay.
We've had our history lesson, now lets have our Geography lesson.
Russia is more in Europe than is Asia. It can be classified as both. For example, some people in ex USSR countries like Belarus look Asian.
Its just MOSTLY European.
