I'm ill and my mum bought some tablets. But the problem is I can't swallow them. Im 14 and every time I try, it either goes half way and I'm almost sicks or I choke on it. No matter how heard I try I just can't take them.
And taking the powder from inside is even worse.

HELP!

make sure you are drinking them with water btw i can swallow tablets easy but best thing is to hold your nose water and tablet tilt your head back for bout 10 seconds whilst swallowing :]

its normal as hell, loads of peope can't swallow tablets, ask your local pharmacist(sp?) guy if there is a liquid form :)

i wouldn't recommend trying to force yourself to swallow them, you'll just make yourself sick

Swallow some air as you do it. Push your toungue down so you have a massive gewlap and swallow with water.

Cus mum got me some painkillers for my ribs [playin rugby], someone tackled me wrong :\.

I just drink a bit of milk, put the tablet in, use some more milk to take it down.

Pretty easy once you've done it once.

I can swallow pills and tablets. I still remember when I swallowed my first tablet, it was so damn bitter I spat it right out. And my dad as like it is not that bad, and he took a **** of the tablet and he went OMG its biiter. Rofl, good times.

Im on tablets for my feet ive been on them for ages lmao I can now take 4 tablets at once as before I go to bed I have to take 2 paracetamol and 2 nurofen. I remember when I first couldnt take tablets i had a weird tablet that you disolve and it makes a drink thats like lemonade. cant rember the name. But you get used to tablets just fill your mouth with water and pop the tablet in and pretend your just drinking water and it goes straight down. also if it gets stuck gulp down some water

When I was little, I used to just chop tablets into little pieces. But now I can swallow up to 8 tablets (with water, of course). I kid you not.

lolol I take 3 huge tablets everyday.. just try drinking TONS of water, and take one big gulp, it'll seem hard at first, but you'll soon get into a routine

I never seemed to have a problem with them. Just put it in your mouh and drink some water. Dont drink really fast just drink regulary and forget about it. After a while it gets so easy u just need a drop of water or even no water to take a pill. Well for me i can

when i was little i couldnt take them,
i can now, but its nothing bad.
some people just don't like them &/or can't take them.
take medicene instead? or buy them ones where they dissolve in yr water.

I know how it is lol, I couldn't take tablets a few years ago.. It's cos your brain is saying no, so you can't really swallow..

Err, just don't think about it and pretend your just drinking water - Should work.. If not then errr, I wouldn't recomend you force yourself to swallow it.

I never use to be able to swallow them when I was about nine and I use to spit them all out cus they would go like half way ew, now I'm fine cus I am proper *prescribed medication junkie.. :(

If they are paracitamol use the powder ones as they disolve dead easy, dont use the hard ones.

If you cant take tablets there no speical way of making yourself take them, Ive been able to take them sicne I was six.. I started out by putting it in my mouth and filling my mouth with water, so its floating :P then Id just swallow it all, pretend its a skittle, swallow it without water, then drink.
