Beginner Template Tutorials?

Does anyone know any simple tutorials to design template on Photoshop CS? *is a photoshop noob* All the ones I find are way to hard for my standards :P

I would very much like to see a template tutorial lol, can you do Templates in paint instead of photoshop cos apparently thats what lots of people use? Just a question :P

I've been doing templates in paint for a while now, but, you just cant the effect on paint that you can in photoshop (obviously) :P

Paint is crap but also good. Photoshop is better but costly, unless you have the code to crack it and thats what i have =] I will make one later, busy atm. It will have everything you will need to know!

But what should I do basics of photoshop and how to use it or a layout? (btw my guides are normaly long so the basics will cover alot)
