Beginner Template Tutorials?

Does anyone know any simple tutorials to design template on Photoshop CS? *is a photoshop noob* All the ones I find are way to hard for my standards

I would very much like to see a template tutorial lol, can you do Templates in paint instead of photoshop cos apparently thats what lots of people use? Just a question

I've been doing templates in paint for a while now, but, you just cant the effect on paint that you can in photoshop (obviously)

Paint is crap but also good. Photoshop is better but costly, unless you have the code to crack it and thats what i have =] I will make one later, busy atm. It will have everything you will need to know!

+rep to BILLY & Isolde, you've both given me an idea for my next tut (I've done a habbo one, done an RS, next is a photoshop one)

But what should I do basics of photoshop and how to use it or a layout? (btw my guides are normaly long so the basics will cover alot)
