Why do you post rudely about Nvrspk and Mad??

It's not very nice that people on the forum are posting so rudely about people in general. But in many cases that I've seen around the forum I see people being very very rude to and about Nvrspk4 and ---Mad---.
Nvrspk and I don't exactly love each other but we get along. People seem to think that they need to despise the person who fired them.

People have also been posting with regards to moderators failing to do their assigned job correctly, in the sense that I am able to view these posts making fun of Mad and Nvrspk (also people in general) I would agree that they are not doing their job. They are doing their assigned job. But I think their assigned job should be more strict and totally remove posts that make fun of people (spam post should just be deleted in my opinion.)

Now, whether or not Mad or Nvrspk care about these posts that are mean towards them I am not sure. Though scientists say for every negative comment somebody hears, they must hear 7 good comments about them until they feel good. I'm not here to tell everybody statistics about 'feelings' but really, it's not that nice posting as rude as some of you do about people.

If you have a problem with somebody, contact the correct person appropriately. Don't spam around the forum about getting them fired, or make up conversations about them being racist.

First of all, what's your business making that Nvrspk thread? Sure you say you like him but you posted to be funny and it obviously wasn't. Then the ones about MAD are just not called for really. Private Messages are there to tell somebody about something Privately. You are best to use those instead of posting around the forum about how bad you think MAD is.

About your opinion how MAD is not that user-friendly as you may say. I've talked to him and he didn't even know me. He listened to what I had to say and he answered it professionally, correct and in a short time period. There is also something I did do to see to it that he did answer me politely and at all. My approach. I didn't just go up to him and say, "TALK 2 ME PLZ." Or start being nasty. I politely asked him if I could talk to him about something. Habbox is not some multi-million pound company. Their employees are working here for fun and do not have to answer you if you're being rude. You may be able to get off being rude in the real world to people, as they're paid to put up with annoyances. Though on Habbox if you're rude to a staff member, they can just not answer you.
I find it funny how you think he lacks common sense when you're the one whom posted about him around the forum, then developed this hatred of him. If forum moderators acted and deleted his posts, he probably would not be complaining about MAD or anybody else.
Some may argue that by making moderators delete posts, not spam or lock them, or just let them stay and put red font in, than users have no say. But they would not be correct. Users can express their own opinions politely if it wont hurt anybody or if it does than send a very polite PM.

Oh and you said MAD never answers you? Well yes he did, "Edited by ---MAD--- (General Manager): Thread locked. If you have a problem with a member of staff, please PM their manager. In this case, PM sierk about it." Have you PM'd sierk politely? If so than he already knows your concerns and if they are legitimate than he will probably look into it. If not, than you were probably in the wrong. I think MAD was polite when he edited that post too.

It's good that you get along with Nvrspk though. But he cares about his staff members dearly and probably includes MAD. Though MAD doesn't work for him :P. So if you say mean things like it's MAD's fault or blame other staff members for things, than your relationship may shake.

People have a right to be angry when they are fired for a injust reason, especially when they have been doing it for free and in their own time.

You say it's spam, but this forum is called 'Habbox Feedback' and you have just spawned all these posts which are useless?, this thread is spam.

I have to agree with Saurav's point of view here.
Yes he was polite but auto response emails are too but they lack a human element that is now missing from Habbox Forum in some areas . You say this is a fansite and not a multi national company the problem is that it acts like one(MNC) has an almost mechanical, robotic, lifeless atmosphere now whereas under the previous senior management it was lively,fun and okay sometimes a bit controversial but most of all a Community. Members were valued and not told basically that it is a privilege to belong to the forum when Habbox is the one that should feel that they are privileged to have such a loyal and long standing membership. Even with Joshuar and Nvrspk4 aboard nothing will change as they are not in overall charge.

You don't have to like me, and I won't force you to like me, because I won't have universal popularity and I can deal with that, since you are entitled to your opinion, within the rules of course. What annoys me is that you make such broad statements on right and wrong, where you are clearly against the rules :P Case in point, I sent you an infraction and removed some rep because you had a message in your signature. In all honesty, there are very very very few people I hate on this forum. And a few people in this thread are going to be like "I'm one of them". You're probably wrong. There are a lot of people on here I like, and some I love to bits, some I just laugh at because of how ridiculous they are (case in point: Pleke and others stirring it up). Some people I dislike. The ones I hate are the ones who are incredibly stupid. I can name three people I genuinely hated, none of whom are with us anymore (and, for the record, though I reported them, I refused to ban them purely because I knew I hated them :P)

I think that the problem is that users lose sight of the fact that this is not a customer-is-right sort of thing, although we do follow that model, because we do what we do because we love it, and we do it for you as much as anything else. But these are volunteer jobs. I have lost many many friends from Habbox due to them simply not being able to deal with the abuse they recieve from members. I don't see why the minute someone gets an infraction they feel the need to go up in arms, or create a fuss. If its unfair, there's a venue for that. If there's someone who has been unfair to you, or has misconducted themselves, there's a place for that (AKA my inbox). We will make sure you are happy, but we can't exactly create a great environment while members are constantly at each others, and our throats.

And I generalized there a little, because there are loads of wonderful people on the forum. I'd even go so far as to say that the nasty people are in the minority. But there are still a fair few nasty people on the forums, or troublemakers, or arrogant people, etc. etc. Its one thing to voice your opinion. Its another thing to use it to silence or hurt another. That, IMO, is just mean and bullying.

Much as I respect and value you at Habbox this is not altogether true. Some work at Habbox because they love it and want to contribute others just want power and to look big. Presenting one face on the forum and then showing a spiteful and vitriolic face off the forum as the example above shows.
I could quote many others as well. People use MSN etc as a tool to discredit and flame people too but I appreciate this is beyond the control of Habbox but a a member of staff in the highest position at Habbox should be seen as setting an example on and off the forum to be given respect. No ... MAD is just plain rude and annoying. He doesnt reply to PMs where you proove him wrong by quoting his manager (sierk in this case). He also closes any threads or gives out infraction to people who dislike him (I have over 3 reversed infraction from him).
The fact is, since he took over as forum manager, this forum pretty much went corrupt.

I think the best person to ask about mad with regards to how well he does is Nvrspk and Sierk. Obviously he is doing well as he has not been fired :S. I think you don't like him because he fired you, or infracted you or something along the lines of that.

LOL. If you dont know why I dont like him then dont make false assumptions. No MAD didnt fire me. There are 2 things I want to say:

1) There is a glitch when you click on "post reply" when you are offline, you can't log in until you delete your cookies.

2) If mad nor nvrspk4 can't do their job based on other peoples' point of view, I recommend setting up a costumer service agent and move on from there.

Now, I want to say that all mods (such as Habbo mods) see things in a different perspective. Basically, each mod on Habbo bans you because of their beliefs and how they understand the situation even if it was a harsh judgement. Just like Habboxforum, each mods sees a different way of punishing you, even the staff. MAD/Nvrspk4 = power users of this forum - respect them with the upmost respect you can provide them and you will get what you want at the end of the day. When you got a problem with your college professor, you comfront them with what you believe is not right and should be done to have you guys on equal grounds, so why don't you guys take the time to do that on here as well.

I don't know about you guys but infractions are just as useless as 90% of the moderators on this forum (no offence but mods are useless for any message board on the internet because of the lack of power they get). If you (the staff) can manage to keep the users happy, then keep the infractions and move on with life but if it carries on like this then don't be surprized if something happened such as someone getting fired for too many infraction errors/complaints from the users not being responded too. *ahem*

Much as I respect and value you at Habbox this is not altogether true. Some work at Habbox because they love it and want to contribute others just want power and to look big. Presenting one face on the forum and then showing a spiteful and vitriolic face off the forum as the example above shows.

But that's sort of loving what they do. They love the power that comes with the job. Though you're right, some people are in it for the prestige.


I could quote many others as well. People use MSN etc as a tool to discredit and flame people too but I appreciate this is beyond the control of Habbox but a a member of staff in the highest position at Habbox should be seen as setting an example on and off the forum to be given respect. Our policy basically is that once that staff member goes on MSN they are no longer acting as a member of staff, nor are they representing Habbox. The only time their actions are called into questions are when they make a statement asserting the power of their Habbox position. So, for example, if I were to say to you on MSN, "You will never work at Habbox again if you do not get me a brownie this instant" you could report me for that. However its nearly impossible to get proof that you can be 100% sure is not altered in any way, because it is very easy to alter MSN proof.

To be fair, the issue of public relations was raised, and MAD did make a conscious effort to improve, so he did try, and sierk did advise him. Whether he succeeded is not my place to judge.

I would, and when MAD was becoming GM, sierk asked me what I thought. I gave some suggestions, he passed them on to MAD, who tried to improve based on the suggestions. So there is a suggestion structure, and MAD does usually take what is said into consideration, if you use the correct channels, state it nicely, and the criticism is constructive, not destructive.

All that does is set up an extra level of bureacracy, which will filter out even more suggestions, shoot down even more people, and make it take even longer to get things done. Sorry for shooting this down so vehemently, but in my opinion Habbox is already too much of a bureacracy, and it takes so long to get things done, I think adding another level would be counterproductive. Of course, that's only my opinion, and is up for debate.

You're absolutely right in that respect. Its their morals versus the rules in most cases, what doesn't seem to apply is that they should contest the rule before the fact, not after the fact. Even so, some people forget what its like to see the grass on the other side :P

I think the major difference is that users know exactly what they're getting. The usernote system more often than not resulted in the user not being told, but the evidence was concrete when someone was banned, IE: 21 usernotes, and barely anyone complained. I think the thing is that the infraction system is far too open to controversy, and the current rules allow users to denounce mods, infractions, question the rules, get things reversed on technicalities, etc. etc.

I actually gained respect for Hotel Staff once I had been a moderator for 6 months :P You're actually right...sort of...in that people don't understand the difficulty of what they propose, or how ludicrous statements are, etc. etc.

But, does combating rudeness with rudeness get you anywhere? If he is indeed rude (I'm not going to debate *that* point as I don't know the specifics), then does being rude back do you any good, or put you in the right? I can understand you are upset, but it might not be the best way to go about it if you wanna achieve real results.

Thanks. I do try my best to not let personal biases interfere with the job, once again I can't say whether I succeed or not, because I don't really have a very unbiased opinion in that sense, because nobody is a terrific judge of themselves :P


Most staff here do that anyway. They suck up and get what they want.

Personally, its harder to get anywhere in my departments if you suck up in place of work. If you're genuine and work hard, you have the best chance of getting to high places. If you suck up and work hard, you'll get recognition, and somewhat slower promotions, because suckups tend to do badly in a managerial capacity. If you suck up, and don't work, you'll probably end up getting fired even faster than an inactive person, if that's at all possible. Most managers here can identify suckups immediately :) Whether they choose allow them to suck up successfully depends on the manager.

Because if somebody quoted me, they would only see what I see and the other quotations in my post would be gone, but it doesn't see your quotation close by using [./.Q.U.O.T.E.] (no dots :P) so it leaves the other quotes in your post. I think vB does that to make post shorter or something, but to be honest I am not sure.
