First of all, I AM NOT CLAIMING THAT I AM DOING THIS. I'm just interested in what would happen.
Ok, here goes. Atm im 5 foot 9.5 and weight 168lbs
If I was to eat around 1500 cals a day, for a couple of months, and get down to say around 145lbs.
When I start eating normally, ill need about 2.1k cals a day to maintain my weight at 145lbs, worked it out.
However, I eat that much normally, on a regular day.
Does this mean, if I get down to 145lbs, and begin to eat normally, the amount of calories to maintain my weight.
Would I actually maintain the weight? As I'll be taking in the calculated caloric needs. Thanks for all replys ;]
erm kinda got lost there but its not all just about wut u eat its how u exercise along with wut u eat

Well, you should stick with the weight that is healthiest for your height. You're always going to gain weight. Well, not necessarily but if you eat over the amount of calories you should be having a day, this can cause weight gain. So, unless you're watching EVERYTHING you eat, then no.
It's not just the calories you should be worried about. You should balance out your diet. Try to eat less fats
Its not quite that simple I'm afraid...
It depends on a number of factors.
Try not to get hung up on calorie intake though.

Don't focus on how much you're eating, focus on the lifestyle that can compliment your array of food.
I really do hate it when people start going on about calories and big calculations, because it is absolutely worthless knowledge unless you are going to start working out the exact speed, time, and distance you need to run/bike for to burn it off.
Weight is all down to energy, if you take in more energy than you are using daily, then your body will convert that energy into starch which you can then use at a later time, ultimately increasing your weight. If you do not take in enough energy to meet your body's needs, it will start to break down muscle tissue in order to extract the energy it needs to function properly, ultimately decreasing your weight. Fats are another form of energy (and they are much more useful than carbohydrates since they provide insulation, protection, energy, and increase sex drive), energy you do not use from fats you take in, is used in other functions such as insulation which makes you look fatter, since it is stored (mainly on a womans thighs, or a mans stomach).
The regular person can actually eat whatever food he or she wishes, so long as their daily exercise is enough to use up enough of the energy provided by that food, which will keep the weight in balance. It gets a little more complicated when you come across people with slow/fast metabolic rates, however it isn't a really common thing to have.
