Dear users,
We are pleased to announce that Splur Studios has had a major turnaround. This turn around includes positives and negitives. We have now got a new, coded website with a better design, however we have stopped our coding services.
The step was taken to stop all coding services to reduce the staffing and focus the website more on Design, which I carry out. As we are now focusing on Design more, we have expanded our Design services. Our services now include;
• Web design
• Branding
• Logo design
• Corporate Stationery
• Advertisements
• Ecommerce sites
• Magazines
• Product Catalogues
• Event publications
• PR and sales copy
• Books/Guides/Brochures/Booklets
• Special publications
• Marketing products
• Fliers/Leaflets/posters
• Downloadable ‘pdfs’ for Web use
On top of Design, on the side we are also offering Stock Photography. All our photography can be found in our Portfolio gallery. Our website is still being tweaked a little, so please do bare with us. We are currently working on imbedding the portfolio onto the main website, and adding our previous Design work onto the portfolio page. A project that Splur Studios is related to has been launched, and the PDF can now been downloaded from our Portfolio page - Issue Two launching November.
We are now accepting work, and projects at this moment in time can be carried out promptly. More information about Splur Studios, including our Portfolio and how to hire us for your project can be found at
www.splurstudios.com (http://www.splurstudios.com)
Thank you,
Darren Toogood

At least the layout isn't just one big picture anymore - there are signs of improvement!

Jon, we are turning Splur Studios around alot.

A new design would be good. You went for simplicity, but sadly you haven't pulled it off well. I dislike the background mostly. Also the fonts on the site are bad, try using a better one.

Dear Invent,
I am sorry to hear this from you. We have had positive feedback from everyone else, therefore we are sticking with our current design. Our design was compared to other great templates, and we tried to fit it around other designs, to make the customers happy.
The font of the website is the default font used with Office 2007. Calibri is the font used, however your browser may be showing a different font if you do not have it installed.
If you would like to submit any other feedback, please email
[email protected] and refrain from using this thread to post further feedback.

Just noticed a mistake in one of your banners, where it says "skys" instead of "skies"

You keep thinking like that (using fonts not every pc has) then you will get nowhere.

Jon, thanks for pointing this out. Was just spotted by myself, and I will change the banner in the morning.
Invent, we may invest in changing the font in the future. Anyone else have any constructive feedback about the site?

I will be speaking to the website creator Sunday to confirm the fonts used within the website.
Hayd, before the website was officialy launched today, I have shown the website to many people, ranging from website developers to ICT teachers and they all comment that is it a good layout, therefore this is positive feedback.

ranging from website developers to ICT teachers and they all comment that is it a good layout, therefore this is positive feedback. Most of the people on this Forum have more web dev. experience than ICT Teachers, considering Web Design isn't a major item on the ICT Curriculum or even on the A level syllabus.
You should listen to OUR comments and not say "yh wel sum ova ppl fink its gd so we dnt ker wt u say".

It is not just ICT teachers, also professional publishers.
Anyhow, I did state that this thread was not to turn off topic, or about a staff member. This thread is to remain on topic and constructive, not 'having a go'.
Hayd, Invent and Jon, if you do not like the site, then please leave this convo. If you do not like it, there is no need for you to participate in this thread.

You asked for comments, we gave them.
You can't tell us to not post in the thread just because you don't like what we're saying. Lmao.
There is one thing which will annoy some people and that is when you first load the site the first thing you see is the Paypal logo in corner which makes the site seem desperate for money rather than the logo which is underneath.
I would also like to inform that you that highly professional designer websites wont speak in a very high standard voice on a forum as it doesn't really attract more people especially on a lower aged community like Habbox. This doesn't mean that you can go to opposite end aswell with lots of shortening of words.

But I never said that I didn't like it... :S
That's the second case of mistaken identity that's happened to me in this section today!

Snex, thanks for your constructive comments. You have a very valid point, and we were discussing moving the Paypal logo to the bottom of the page.
I did not mean for it to mean we want money money money, just to let customers know we
accept Paypal ;)

You want em to get out the "convo" just because u dont like my comments. You are really going to get far arnt you if u cant take the truth.
Show Off Your Website Here - Including Habbo Fansites. (http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45) is for showing and commenting on sites, you do not own this forum so dont tell people to leave. If you cant take critisizm you WILL fail.
In my opinion the site looks clean but to the extent that there is almost nothing on it, it should showcase your skills which by looking at that are non existant!

Sorry to hear that you think the website is 'rubbish' however I feel that my past on these forums are getting in the way.
Scott, you slate every site apart from your own.
I feel that my past on these forums are getting in the way.
Have you even just thought that you are not that good? Everytime we critisize your work you put it down to your past. Its not that its just we dont like it.
