All you've got a few outerglows and a gradient. I mean come on design company layouts are suppost to show what you can do, not that you can make a layout in a minute.

First design looked better, the arrows don't look very professional, + the layouts just seemed to go better on the right instead of under the main content.

Ok, I was just trying out his ideas.
& I agree on the design part as this layout is pretty simple and I always say a portfolio is somewhere to showcase your talent and skills, I guess the above layout doesn't show them very well.
Now Tom says that I kinda agree with him.

Also I think you should try you best to make a great looking logo, as if you've got a great logo you'll increase the amout of people asking you to create them logos, banners and so on, not just templates.
i likes it, but thens agains thats a matters ofs opinions!
Don't like the bar going across... Either try a different colour, or make it come into line with the rest of the content. Looks a little stupid IMO.

Footer don't fit in, but its nice in the whole
Out of interest, what is the font used for the 'spyralmedia' logo at the top? I've been looking for a modern font like that for ages!
