I'm really shy and... basically frigid.
And this boy I'm going out with is really physical.
And I just think it'd be better if we where just mates, because he like wants me to get off with him and I'm like just scared of it happening.
I could try saying how I feel, like "I just want us to be mates". Except I can't because it's the same line I used on the girl I dumped him for originally.
But I still want him and his mates to be mates with me, if you get it.

So what I guess I'm saying is; How can I finish it yet us still be mates?

Just tell him that you want to take things slow because you aren't ready for that yet, and see how that goes. If he doesn't listen and carries on, then you have a reason to dump him.

Uhm if you want him to stop being over physical then ask him 'not to be', if I loved the person then I would stop if they asked, if you just dont want to go out with him, just tell him straight, but make sure you explain why :)

But seriously you could just sit him down privately on a one to one conversation outside of school and tell him how you feel. It's far better than doing it in front of a crowd. Remember not to let yourself be pressured into anything you don't want to do.

and that you're a bit shy/afraid to move on anymore in the relationship yet,
if he dumps you over it it's his loss not yours
