It definately helps in our school, but theres lots of groups of people that just hang around each other :P

Our class is fairly small (117 seniors.)
There aren't any real stereotypical groups. The fact is, there isn't enough people to have "the goths" or "the punks" or "the jocks."

However, there is a mass of "popular" people. You're not on student council if you're not popular. Your opinions aren't respected if you're not one of "them."

there's popular everywhere, and it will always be around. some people will always have more friends than others.

at our school its odd last year everyone the cliched groups that they hang round with but this year everyone is friends thanks to Human Utopia.
