Im over the word limit on my AS English Lit coursework by about 100 words.
'An exploration of the way Shakespeare presents the character of Iago in 'Othello' '
Do you think it will be a serious issue, because I really need this to be perfect.

You will probably lose a mark or two for it. Could be the difference between your target grade and the one below though!
i dont really think it will matter, it matters if you go above or below 10% i think. well thats what i have with my business/economics portfolio
if your not sure, you can always ask your teacher

You won't lose any marks, no.
It's usually 200 words each way. I know my English coursework in YR11 on Romeo and Juliet was 500 words over the limit, and I still got full marks.

100 words is quite a lot
they want you to be bang on or as close as possible to the suggested wordcount

It depends on what the limit is, if it's supposed to be 2,000 words and you're 100 over it's nothing but if it's got to be 200 then yeah that's quite a lot.
