Trailer for series 4

Features Sarah Lancaster as a possible female timelord called Rani, Rani is the female equivalent of the Master apparently.

The Rani is a renegade Time Lady (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Lady), an evil scientific genius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villain) whose villainy comes not from the usual variety of lust for power (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_%28sociology%29) and suchlike, but from a mindset that treats everything (including morality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morality)) as secondary to her research (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research); she has been known to enslave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery) entire planets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet) such as Miasimia Goria in order to have a ready supply of experimental subjects and a place to carry out her experiments (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experiment) uninterrupted.

But could she have been the Masters wife in Series 3, this is highly unlikely as Sarah Lancaster would've been brought in to play her to give some continuity, but it is still a possibility;

Near the end of the 2007 series finale "Last of the Time Lords (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_of_the_Time_Lords)", a female hand with red nail polish is seen picking up the Master's ring. In the podcast commentary of the episode, Russell T. Davies jokingly refers to it as "the hand of the Rani", and also states that they will not be picking up on that scene next year — he just put it in there to give any future production teams something to use if they want to bring back the Master.

But also in the trailer, you see the Doctor with 2 sonic screwdrivers, 1 could possibly be Ranis?

The close-up at the end could either be Davros or a Sontaran, its likely to be a sontaran as they were redesigned for 2008;

UNIT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Intelligence_Taskforce) could be back, as an encounter with some armed forces seem to be on the cards. UNIT have also been referenced many times in the modern series but haven't played a major part, the logo was redesigned a few series ago;
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/23/Unit_wing.jpg

UNIT also made the Valiant, the floating station that the Master used in series 3.

As we already knew, Catherine Tate will be around for about half of series and Martha will possibly be around for the last 3 episodes or so.

The Ood are returning but probably not to any great effect, due to them being a slave race.

At least 1 episode seems to be set in Roman times.

O yeh i forgot about that!

Funny how the biggest things slip your mind :P

Also Captain Jack is back again, i hope he doesn't become the face of bo in the future :(

Martha will have a partner :O and will be in 5 episodes, not 3 as previously thought.

Upon her return, according to Freema Agyeman in Dr Who Magazine 385, "She'll actually be in a relationship by that point, so that part of her soul is fulfilled," Freema hints

Doctor Who, series 4

Five episodes[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Jones#_note-Gardner), including a Sontaran (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sontaran) story.[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Jones#_note-sonta)

Doctor Who will run for a full 4th series and then only 3 episodes in 2009 and then a full 5th series in 2010. The following excerpt provides proof of recurring companians and old adversaries.

David Tennant is confirmed to star through to 2009. However, during the latter half of 2008, Tennant is committed to a Royal Shakespeare Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Shakespeare_Company) production of Hamlet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamlet). After the 2008 Christmas Special, three Bank Holiday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_Holiday) specials have been commissioned to air throughout 2009.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-SeriesFive)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-TimesOnline) The programme will then return in 2010 with a fifth full series. Russell T Davies has suggested that the programme is expected to follow this pattern, of full series interspersed with occasional year-long breaks, for some time into the future.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-4)
The Doctor will have three companions in the fourth series: Catherine Tate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_Tate) will reprise her role as Donna Noble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donna_Noble), who was first introduced in "The Runaway Bride (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Runaway_Bride_%28Doctor_Who%29)", for all 13 episodes;[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-5) Freema Agyeman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freema_Agyeman) (Martha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Jones)) will return mid-season for five episodes,[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-iF) and Billie Piper (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billie_Piper) will return as Rose Tyler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Tyler) for three episodes.[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-6) Agyeman will also appear in three episodes of Torchwood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torchwood).[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials#_note-7)
In the Doctor Who Confidential (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_Confidential) episode for "The Sound of Drums (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_Drums)", Davies stated that it had always been his intention to bring back classic icons of Doctor Who (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who) one step at a time: Daleks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalek) in series 1, Cybermen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybermen) in series 2, and the Master (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_%28Doctor_Who%29) in series 3. He has also stated that he is not finished and will continue reviving villains from the original series

I don't really like the Ood. The episodes they were in in series 2 were my least favourite.

In the trailer theres a woman with a sonic screwdriver so that could be The Rani

The thing that annoys me is...

They always... Always seem to be in London Or New York!

God Sake.. Take the show somewere else.

Also, the story line about the 3 trying to save the doctor.
They all live in london yes? Rose, Martha And Sarah jane.

Maybe they all meet up, blah blah.. Would actualy be the best.
I love rose, they shouldnt of let her go.

I'm looking forward to this

The Rani would definetly not been the masters wife firstly in the past the master and the rani have battled against each other they only teamed up once to take the Doctor down. Secondly the Doctor would have senced her instantly as a time lord and she would have recognised him. Thirdly the master calls his wife his 'human companion' finally if you watch the last episode of series 4 again you'll notice when his wife is wearing the red dress she has slight bruises on her face and is no longer as happy as she was this is evidence the master physically and mentalally abused her which the Rani wouldn't have taken...

She might have used that watch thing.

Thats a fair point but I doubt they are going to use that storyline again as that was the big story line of last year. =]
