Portfolio Splash Page - Concept 2

Hey all.

I've completed the concept 2 of the splash page of my first ever design. This time I did not follow a tutorial.

It's the same apart from different colour and different image.

Theres a different background texture. Added sharpness, different picture size.

As you know im not a photoshop designer so how could I make it better?

Well to be honest, I don't use photoshop so I wouldn't know, but it looks ok.

Its better you made the picture box smaller ;)

What do you mean by the first line?

Every other design I have done has been in paint. 'Its alright' - thanks. Its a start I guess.

It's not great, it's distinctly average.

Oh and, if you're a designer, you're a designer in every program.

Well obviously it takes a while to get used to, and find all the things out that it can do.

In which case, you keep all work you do 'trying out a new program' private and show only a select few.

Instead of being greedy to get posting read everything first. For my habbo layouts, I use Paint and always have done

What work have you seen of myne considering this is like the first you've seen.

I've only started using photoshop so I don't know what your talking about.

I could just google a picture and save it as "name.psd" but that wouldn't proove I'd taken it.

I'm talking about making the actual design, not the photo.. i don't care about that.

It's the fact a new person registered to a forum is accusing him of stealing.
