Haha, you shouldn't be. I work at Tesco. All you'll get is someone sitting you in a little room and asking you about 5 questions along the same lines. "Give me an example of team work that you have shown,". "Are you good at team building?". I used examples from college at all of them.

5 minutes of questions and that's it. You'll then be called in for an induction if you get the job, that you actually get about £20 for, just by attending a quick tour of the store, couple of safety videos, etc!

It's not hard to get a job at Tesco, trust me, haha.

Does Tesco not operate a role play exercise thing? I know a lot of retailers have started doing this, as opposed to just a one on one question based interview. For m&s I had to have a role play, basically pretend I was a customer assistant and help the customer out (the interviewer) it was fun.

Just be confident, lively, and eye contact :)

Well I started for Tesco at the end of 2006, but I don't believe they do, not in my Metro anyway, so they wouldn't for a little Express.
