We tried it, unfortunately they never took off, however HabboxWorld is still somewhat active working off of HabboxForum.com.

I like the idea we could search for some foreign staff. . .

I mean a lot of people can talk languages and it is suprising how many people have unused furni on foreign hotels :]

Although I would prefer to be on a forum with UK and USA users than multi-national (not racist I just think it would be annoying to have more forums for people saying SELLING AUSTRAILIAN HC!111!!!!!

Since unless we have a few hundred Austrailians there would be no point :)

Like nvrspk said there was other international sites for canada and america but they never really took off although being some what popular and over the years have slowly closed. How ever with the new international events and competitions department we are still making an impact on international hotels.

There is a good point! We are now doing International Events!

Tomo you know what we need to make habbox a international hit? People like you to promote us :)

I can't imagine this happening, there would be too many forums and catagories, unless Habbox wants to cut out aload of catagories for this. It's a shame vB or any other forum design company hasn't created a feature which gives the forum index 2 alternative views for example, the current one and another one for foreign hotels. Plus the foreign language rule will cause problems...

I remember it never taking off, but I believe that was because yonder454 (who was the head of habbox.us at the time) wasn't that bothered with .com as opposed to .co.uk

Anyhow seeing as I use .com quite often, I would be interested in a job in the international scene.

In my opinion the following are problems with international hotels.

Cost of running a forum and site for other hotels
Language barrier
Little time to run many different sites
Lack of staff in other sectors
Smaller populations of other hotels

However I would love to see this idea take off on every english speaking hotel how it has done for us on .co.uk

Even if we did expand it to other languages, we could only have English speaking ones due to the English staff - they could be saying all sorts of things that we wouldn't understand!

And plus, there are now new international staff that organise competitions and events and things. :8

u could start off by maby hriing reportors to report for ALL english speaking hotels on habbox mainpage and take it from there, becuase one thing i dnt like is having to go to other sites to find out news about other hotels.

That's what the International Division is attempting to do, though we're starting with just Competitions and Events on other hotels ;)

Things such as rare values for the CA and USA hotel will be a large help.
You can use HabboxForum for all english speaking hotels tbh.

Be good to see this idea take off. It will increase the popularity of Habbox and
we may expand on the forums official list on other hotels if this takes off.

As Joey said, that is what we are attempting to push for at the moment. We are trying to start by providing a range of international competitions and events that run regularly and are actively enjoyed by CA and US hotel members. Until we have expanded our competitions and events to a point in which they are popular with CA and US members we wont be developing any further as there would be a lot of effort for a poor potential of popularity. We've ran a few competitions so far and you should see some events coming soon once things are fully sorted out. :)

Also we are currently looking for staff to run events on US/CA hotels and if you are interested you should look here: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=483109

Even if we did try our hardest to we wouldn't get too far popularity wise on the international hotels as those hotels already have sites dedicated completely to them such as habbos.net , bluebobble.com and Habbodiscussion.com aswell as other general sites.
The best Habbox can try is by doing events and competitions to attract people onto the forum.

Theoretically to become international we don't have to change anything as anyone who speak English can come onto here and we also have trading forums for them aswell (aswell as international news).
To get all this content onto the main site it will be an real hard task and it wouldn't gather enough hits to keep it alive such as Habbox.us , Habboxforum.us and Habboxcanada which didn't get much visitors causing it to merge into Habboxworld which did alot better popularity wise but wasn't able to completely expand and grow :(.
