Wow, I thought I loved Manga - but Chris, that's one amazing collection.

Thanks :D I only own the complete Death Note manga and the first 6 volumes of Claymore though. :P Plus the 4 manga preview books.
Actually, volume 3-6 of Claymore and my Pumpkin Scissors volume 1 DVD are missing from the photo! :O

I have only see the first few episodes but oh my god... it is amazing! Satoshi Kon is a legend. Paranoia Agent will no doubt be in my top five favourite anime of all time list.

Paranoia Agent is a Japanese anime television series about a social phenomenon in Musashino, Tokyo caused by a juvenile serial assailant named Lil' Slugger. The plot relays between a large cast of people affected in some way by the phenomenon; usually Lil' Slugger's victims or the detectives assigned to apprehend him. As each character becomes the focus of the story, details are revealed about their secret lives and the truth about Lil' Slugger.

Hehe, you've completely given into the fact that it's amazing now. :P It does have a sad ending though, although Hakuoro was like awesome, I was completely satisfied with it. I don't know how else it could have ended. :P I just wish Yuzuha didn't die. :'( I also wish it would have shown if he came back at the end or not.

I saw a pretty good Utawarerumono AMV the other day (here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Za-D4u-tQxw)) which reminded me how good the anime is, I wish the 14th of July would hurry up! :P

By the way, Utawarerumono doesn't make much sense until you understand the backstory, so I suggest you read the following few paragraphs below taken off wikipedia. It helped me understand it a LOT better. :P

Backstory

In the present age, an archaeological expedition unearths a mysterious fossil, a fossil of a disfigured beast. Unknown to the archaeologist, the fossil is the embodiment of a forgotten god, known as Witsuarunemitea. A superior scientist stumbles in, and after some confrontation, the mysterious stranger explains that humanity isn't ready for this Missing Link, the gap in evolution between men and apes. To prevent him from talking, he shoots the archaeologist. As the archaeologist slowly dies, his blood touches the fossil, and the forgotten god awakens.

Witsuarunemitea, a shattered and forgotten deity, sees opportunity in the dying archaeologist. He offers the archaeologist life, in exchange for becoming his vessel, so that Witsuarunemitea can finally find the sleep he so desires. Time passes, and eventually he becomes frozen in ice.

With Witsuarunemitea still bound in sleep as his mask, the archaeologist re-awakens many years into the future. He finds himself in an underground research facility, where he is being studied as an ancient human specimen. The archaeologist learns from the researchers that the world has become an uninhabitable wasteland, and the last of mankind lives there, in the underground shelter.

Mizushima, a researcher, is assigned to the care and study of the archaeologist, who is now referred to as the Iceman. Upon discovering that the 'Iceman' is able to breathe the post-apocalyptic air, the researchers look to harness his unique genome to re-populate the surface of the earth. Of the thousands of creations, only a select few prove to be viable, including experiments 3510 and 63. Experiment number 3510, a beautiful woman, is given the name Mikoto and experiment number 63, a girl, is given the name Mutsumi. Mutsumi, realizing she has come from the Iceman's DNA, addresses him as "father".

The genome project encounters some problems, however, and the researchers in charge decide to re-freeze the Iceman for later study. Mizushima, aware of the human side of the Iceman, urges him to run, and gives him the facility's master key, a plain-colored ring recognized by the facility's doors.

The Iceman runs from the facility, taking Mikoto with him, whom he has fallen in love with. After a few years have passed, Mikoto gives birth to a daughter. The researchers, however, put on environmental suits in order to pursue the Iceman and recapture both him and Mikoto. Mikoto is dissected for further research, but while Iceman is being prepared to be frozen, his rage awakens Witsuarunemitea.

Outraged by the treatment of Mikoto, a new side of Witsuarunemitea begins to form. Filled with rage, Witsuarunemitea destroys most of the facility. Appalled by what the humans would do to obtain immortality, Witsuarunemitea grants their plea, transforming them into immortal gelatinous beings. Eventually, the great god accrues so much rage as to split himself into two halves: one which seeks destruction, and another, which seeks only to be destroyed.

Suddenly, Mutsumi appears, and empowered by Witsuarunemitea's divine blood, she puts both halves of Witsuarunemitea to sleep. Meanwhile, the few successful genetic experiments from the research facility begin to repopulate the Earth's surface, as the original humanity slowly dies out and is forgotten. The research facility is sealed away forever, and the people are told it is Witsuarunemitea's holy land.

Years later, a shift in the world awakens the two halves of Witsuarunemitea, who begin to combat each other; the destructive side wanting to help the populace of the world reach new height through wars, and its opposite through peaceful cooperation. The emperor of Kunnekamun (whose people; the Shakukopuro, are being massacred) seeks out the destructive side, who grants him a power called the Avu-Kamuu, massive bio-mechanical constructs covered in platemail, allowing them to exist in the world of war and hegemony.

Eventually, the fighting of the two halves causes a great earthquake. Arurū, a young girl of Kenashikourupe, is in the process of climbing a tree to recover a beehive when the earthquake strikes, and falls, becoming greatly injured. Erurū, Arurū's sister, prays to Witsuarunemitea to heal Arurū, and promises, in exchange, her body and soul. Witsuarunemitea obliges.

I wondered how the **** Eruruu got the loop key thing, where the hell Mutsumi came from and how the hell Dii came to be the other half of the god lol, but now all has been explained. :D Well I wish they explained who Mutsumi is and what her purpose is, but hopefully they'll do that in the OVA.

That means that Hakuoro is Eruruu's ultra mega super great grandfather!

Recently Got 2 dragonball z double features. got Deadzone & The worlds strongest and The history of trunks &Bardock father of Goku. Both were ok.. got both for £20 of playusa.com

Ebay. :D I couldn't say no to awesome cheap posters. The wall scroll cost me £10 but I just had to buy it. I was loaded with money at the time. :P

Utawarerumono is amazing. It's what got me into anime and is my second favourite of all time. Nothing can surpass it except Death Note in my opinion. :P

Aye, utawa is a great anime. Ending is awesome, but kind of makes you said. but yer.

A lot was actually cut from the anime to fit the 26 episode limit. Theres an Utawarerumono game that was made and recorded at the same time as the anime which explains everything and includes the parts that weren't in the anime, aparrently it has a different ending as well or somethings different about it anyway. I think a lot that was cut was mostly comedy parts and side stories though, because the director said that he focused on the main story entirely. Also in the game Dorii and Gura are male, I swear they're female in the anime? :P

I dont really own any right now, i usually watch anime central at night and did start watching deathnote, although i lost track.

Amazon is the best place to buy anime DVDs and manga. If you live in London or another major city, there will be a few comic shops which sell manga pretty cheap. HMV sell anime, but it's usually overpriced.

My Ergo Proxy and Witch Hunter Robin boxset's are bootlegs but the quality is amazing. It also has the japanese and english dub on both of them, you can switch it over at any time just like a normal DVD and the subtitles are brilliant. Not one single mistake and everything made sense. The DVDs even have extra's lol, yes, they are bootlegs!

I also have bootlegs of Death Note, Claymore, Utawarerumono, Tactics and Da Capo. The Death Note, Claymore and Utawarerumono one's have good picture quality and subtitles, but you can't turn the subtitles off and they only have Japanese audio. My Da Capo one has awful quality and horrible subtitles. My Tactics one has good quality, the subtitles have flaws, but they are understandable.

Oh, my Guyver boxset is a bootleg aswell. It has great quality, but the subtitles are bloody tiny. You'd have to sit a less than a metre away from your TV to be able to read them. Luckily it has both japanese and english audio on it though, so I just switched over to the english dub, which is better than the japanese one anyway. This DVD also has extras. Storyboard comparison's and everything, lol!

So, the majority of my bootlegs have been very good. :D

Battle royale is an amazing film, probably my favourite, 2 Is so dissapointing... I bought it thinking it would be fantastic and I've never watched it all the way through. They're making an american version, ....I've never seen an English remake as good as the Japanese so.. might not even bother getting it.

Despite it's appearance, Pretty Face is actually a shounen manga and also despite it's appearance, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World isn't hentai or anything, neither is it ecchi, it's only a 12. :P

Pretty Face is bloody hilarious, the funniest manga I've ever read. I only have volume 4 and 5 because I read 1, 2 and 3 online, but I will buy them as well. There is 6 volumes in all.
D.Gray-Man is very interesting, in both plot and characters, but the manga is very long (16 volumes so far) and there are other manga's I would like to read first. So I might not continue D.Gray-Man, if I do I'll read the next few volumes online to see if it really drags me in.
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World looks amazing, being made by the same people who made Evangelion and FLCL that isn't a surprise. I'll watch it soon.

One piece by far lol i like dragonball but One piece if feel has a better story. dragonball has the same story really. train, fight and fail, more train, turn 1 more lvl of ssj and win and repeat lol. but its still good.

I gave OP a try and enjoyed it. got to about ep 50 and was sucked in.. watched all the way up to 270 something and been watching currently since. at 368 now.

Color walk that i ordered. >_> the place sent me Volume 36 of the one piece manga in german. so wrote them a nasty email lol. dont see why germans are on volume 36 and Viz is still on v19 >.>

Welcome to the NHK 2-5 are in the post, should have them by wednesday, and I'll buy volumes 6-8 on friday. It was near impossible to get volume 1. Amazon went permanently out of stock, every UK website was out of stock, Amazon.com was out of stock, the Amazon UK marketplace had some used copies instock but wanted some crazy prices like £18+ for them and the Amazon.com marketplace wouldn't ship to the UK. I eventually found an American site to buy it from, but they emailed me and told me it's out of stock as well! So I'm waiting for a refund from them. I was the going to buy it from a website in... ermm, I think it was Brazil... or something like that, who said they had it in stock, but I decided to look in Waterstones while I was in town, and... Oh and those Battle Royale manga's aren't actually mine. My friend has like the first five and told me I should read them, so he's letting me borrow them.

Next I plan on getting the Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd GIG and Ghost in the Shell: SAC movie boxsets, Trigun Maximum manga volume 1-13, Mahoromatic DVD volume 1-3, Black God volume 4 and possibly Alive: The Final Evolution and Spiral (manga's).

Yea. well thats what i seen funimation got some of the titles. and nhk was one of them and im sure it was a week before nhk got released here..
Funimation are good with there series tho, starting to release in sets with more eps so hopefully make it into a 2 sets

Meh, I much prefer ADV over Funimation. I like how ADV layout their DVDs, and on certain series they give you a ton of extra's to keep you happy for months. Also, unlike other anime distributors, ADV focus more on the Japanese staff than the American staff. In every volume of the six Utawarerumono DVDs they gave you a free 10-ish page booklet full of interviews with the Japanese staff. There's no American extra's to be found. Which is what I love the most. :8 I believe they also produce the best trailers. I never get bored of the Guyver one. :)

However, if what you say is true then thats a good step forward for Funimation. They have the rights for Claymore, and I think the first DVD is released in the USA in two days. I hope they don't put like 3 episodes per DVD or anything stupid like that. I was outraged when Geneon put 2 episodes per DVD when they released FLCL. No way am I paying £60 for 6 episodes.

Just a bit niffed at Funi tho on how there going about one piece.
One piece is currently at 374 in anime and there releasing 13 eps every 4 months. so its going to be years until they catch up to where toei is at the moment.

They said there at about 100 at the dubbed eps they have but there not releasing a dvd for christmas -.- that would make it 39 eps this year. but we only getting 26. but other series like FMA are now getting better sets, DBZ has awesome sets. and small series with like 20 eps get a 2 part release near the same month. so yeah guessing funi will bring out 2 dvds with 12 eps for NHK

Ah, well it's pretty much the same with every anime and manga. We don't usually get things until around four years later, with the exception of Death Note... which took two years. Atleast we're eventually getting them though, but they definitely need to speed up the process. I can't believe volumes of Peacemaker are being released every four months when the series has already been completed for about seven years in Japan. Surely they would also get more sales buy releasing all of the volumes at once? It's madness, they make us wait too long!

ADV released three DVDs for their mini series which had around twelve episodes. Four episodes per DVD. That's the same amount they put on their normal length series DVD's, but I don't mind paying for them because it doesn't come to much. Death Note is being released with 8 episodes per volume, that's the most I've seen on one DVD volume so far. But I had Manga for Americanising their anime DVDs. I sure hope Funimation so a good job with their future DVD's.

Death Note is doing well 1st dvd came out at the end of april, this year and today thats the 3rd dvd and 2nd movie released. 3rd movie released in december and might get last dvd, cant see them making a voume 5 with 5 eps. unless they sell it cheaper.

Naruto gets 13
Bleach gets 12 then 8 which i thinks pointless
Theres FMA sets coming out which have mroe eps than the 4 ep ones.
DBZ ones get like 27-37 pet set for £25 which is good.

is more mainstream ones that get this but ive seen other series do the same funimation like to make small series like 2 dvds. Ghost hunt is getting a 2 dvd release

Well it's not so mainstream ones, mainstream anime doesn't really exist in the UK, it's just the anime's with longer series that are getting more episodes per volume. Which is only fair.

Yes and no. meaning if your lucky people wont bother checking inside ect. i got lucky with them lol.

and if your ordering from the site buy stuff in bulk. was meant to pay £20 for p+p but only ended up paying £5 its a good site for certain stuff.

Bought Saiyuki volume 1 yesterday (£6.99!!!!!!) and I ordered the Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2ND GIG complete boxset from some company with 100% feedback on Amazon a week or two ago and they sent me a dented, region 1, special edition tin case volume 7 of the first SAC series. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?!?! ARE THESE PEOPLE DUMB!?!?!? I was hoping they'd let me keep it as an apology though, because it comes with a T-Shirt and some other stuff which I would happily have, but they told me to send it back and they'll send me the right DVD this time. :eusa_wall

Due to this credit crunch nonsense I might not be able to get my super awesome ultra cool video camera, unless I buy it myself but that's unnatural, so I might just ask for a **** load of manga for junk for christmas. :P

On another note, I got the last volume of Peace Maker on friday but haven't been able to take any pictures because my dad was on holiday and took the camera with him. The fact that you question whether it's good or not is appalling! I'd say The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is the second best anime movie ever made, only second to Sword of the Stranger. It's also one of my personal favourites even when mixed with live action films, it's so exciting, so dramatic, so touching, it brings me close to tears! The direction is gold, the voice acting is amazing, and it's probably the best novel to film adaption I know of. Although I like Sword of the Stranger more, I think The Girl Who Leapt Through Time deserves the 'Best Animated Feature Film' Oscar nomination more than Sword of the Stranger. It won countless anime awards, I wonder why it was overlooked at last years Oscar's. There is no action, it's a drama afterall, but it does more than succeed in everything it does. I've seen it twice, I spotted no flaws, it's simply perfect. Also, it's rated the best anime movie on MyAnimeList.net with a score of 8.85, beating Spirited Away by a whole 0.10 (which is big when it comes to these kind of scores). Sword of the Stranger is 5th and is scored 8.64. So, is it any good? Simply put, yes. Word's can't even begin to explain how good it is.

You can buy the Limited Edition Exclusive Edition DVD from HMV for only £15, which comes with an extra disc and bonus art cards I think. I got the normal single disc edition for £10 of Amazon, and I wish I bought it from HMV now.

For the love of god don't watch it dubbed! Don't even switch to it for one second to see what it's like. It is the worst anime dub I have ever heard. It may be just bad if you watch the English dub first, but the Japanese dub is so good it makes the English dub look like absolute ****. The girl Who Leapt Through Time defines why dubbing sucks!

Tekkonkinkreet is minor when compared to the power of Sword of the Stranger! :evil:

Steamboy is seriously underrated. Same director as Akira, which I actually didn't like that much, be he's obviously a talented guy. I'd also like to note that the English dub is a perfect match for the movie, and Steamboy is actually the most expensive anime movie Japan has ever produced. The attention to detail is superb.

Blasphemy! Ghost in the Shell vs Akira... there is no comparison! :P GiTS wins any day. :8 I thought Akira was pretty average, doesn't deserve the hype it gets. Nothing really stood out to me. Steamboy though - brilliant! You should be able to find the DVD pretty cheap anywhere. You don't need to worry about finding it with subs either, because the dubs are perfect. The DVD was actually released without subs anyway. There is no Japanese audio track. :P

Trigun finally came yesterday, 360 pages for only £2.10. :8 I'll post pictures after christmas because I'll have a lot more stuff to show. Then I'm gonna spend my money on a video camera, and start saving the rest. I think I've got enough manga to read now, and I just wanna buy boxsets when it comes to anime these days.

Some of the translations are funny. Still, I think they could have added the whole 'Strawberry' nikcname issue into the anime because it's quite funny and not asif it's a literal translation throughout - just an inside joke.

I don't really like the whole Strawberry thing, I don't think Ichigo's name was intended to mean that. The whole 'Doom Blast' thing is lame as well, as is 'Yoruichi, King of Flash!' or whatever they call her. Manga translations never really satisfy me though, especially Shonen Jump/Viz Media's translations. I think Tokyopop do quite a good job though, as do Yen Press. I especially like Yen Press because they translate all of the sound effects as well, and put the actual translation on the same page, and under where the sound effect is in Japanese. Unlike Viz, they just seem to get rid of the sound effects altogether, or add a huge sound effect glossary at the back. Who wants to keep turning to the back every page to look at each specific sound effect? Sound effects are actually a big part of manga, although they aren't necessarily needed, because it's easy to imagine whats going on... but I like having them there. :P

Viz censor stuff? Like what? :S Manga is actually cut? Holy **** what is the world coming to. You wouldn't think it if you read Welcome to the NHK. Although Tokyopop released that, and it has a clear 18+ on the back. Actually it's quite small. I'm surprised they even bother putting those age ratings on there and censoring stuff.

Haha, you still looking for volume one? :P It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Check Waterstones, thats where I got mine. I read the first four volumes of NHK pretty fast, but haven't read any in ages. I wanna get back to it but I'm reading too many damn manga's at the same time, I must stop this addiction! So far I think I prefer the anime, but the manga has started to go off into it's own plot now, so they'll be things coming up that aren't in the anime, which I am looking foward to! I heard it gets real ****** up after volume five. I hope I don't fall into depression.

Don't you just hate it when you're anticipating a good scene you've already seen in an anime in the manga version, but then it turns out to be totally different in the manga. It's happened a couple of times in Welcome to the NHK so far and it's disappointing. :(

Total Video Converter converts anything and everything. Seriously, it's the best converter ever. You'll need MKVtoolnix if you want to convert MKV to AVI and keep the subtitles though. That extracts the sub file from an MKV format video then you can choose to include the subtitles when converting it to AVI with TVC. Total Video Converter is free unregistered, which I think leaves a watermark over your converted file, but costs money to register. I have the registered version because I managed to steal the registration code from a company. :P MKVtoolnix is free.

Don't try Waterstones online. I did tell you not to buy from Amazon but you didn't listen to me! I ordered volume 1 from Amazon but they cancelled my order two weeks later saying that the item is currently out of stock and they're unable to get any more. Check Waterstones in store! They had two copies of volume 1 and one of volume 2 where I live. :P I'm up to volume 6 of Welcome to the NHK now, and a lot of the current stuff never happened in the anime so it's really nice to see more new material. It's so funny as well!

My Gon manga still hasn't come, over three weeks later. That's due to me buying it with another book that was out of stock at the time. -_- Should be on it's way now, hopefully.

Also, what kinda extras they got on the latest Death Note DVD? Are they still lame American ones, or have they finally added something decent?

By the way, the won't add L's funeral or the cinema scene in because they were made especially for the Death Note Rewrite special, not the series. Death Note Rewrite 2 will hopefully be released on DVD soon, then it can be subbed! I'm hoping there are extra scenes in that as well, otherwise recap specials are tedious.

Why are they releasing it in seasons and parts anyway? What a waste of time, just release the boxset already. I'd actually buy it if they did. Anime should only be released in boxsets. That should be the law.

Gon finally came a few weeks ago. Bleach 26, Gintama 11 and Claymore 14 were all released on the 3rd of March, so I'll be purchasing them soon. The first volume of Peace Maker Kurogane is released on the 17th of March and the first volume of the manga version of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is released on the 15th of March, so I'll be buying those as well. Just need money. -_-

And there are box sets for FMA. but US only its basically like the naruto/bleach dvds.
Part 1 and part 2. or buy them in a set together. Just buying the part sets get more extras lol and there like 17.99 each so im ok with that xD

Got my dvds today. FMA set is quiet awesome. Nice shiny cover. 2 bits slip out, 1 which has nice artwork and folds out and gives you 4 discs witht he 16 eps. and the the other bit has 4 booklets. which has artwork and information on people, series. I took bunch of pics but cba uploading atm. FMA movie came with about 20 artwork postcards.

EDEN: IT'S AN ENDLESS WORLD! - THE BEST MANGA I HAVE READ IN A WHILE! Although I've come to a bit of a predicament regarding this manga... Dark Horse produce the English version of the manga, but for some reason Titan Books publish the manga in the UK instead of Dark Horse, even although Dark Horse publish hundreds of other titles in the UK... Titan Books have so far released the first 6 volumes, but Dark Horse have released up to volume 11... I have all of the Titan Book's volumes, but what happens when I've read volume 6!?!?! I'll be tempted to buy the Dark Horse volumes, and then there will be inconsistency in my collection! Half of my volumes will say Titan Books and the other half will have the Dark Horse logo on the side! I can't live with that! I could read them online, but if the volumes have been released what's the point! I'd just be tempted to buy them! Help me!

Mushishi THE JAPANESE LIVE ACTION MOVIE!!!!! I absoutely loved the series so I had to buy the movie when I saw that it was directed by the same guy who done Akira and Steamboy. I've had it for a while now but I still haven't watched it yet. I'm just waiting for a good day! It's quite a long film. Also, there's that beautiful hand again

Haven't read Blue Spring yet but Nodame Cantabile was a little disappointing. The anime is one of my all time favourite series, but I guess a manga based on music doesn't work as well, eh. The art is also quite simplistic, not very much shading. Although it's one of my favourite series ever, I probably won't continue with the manga.

Oh my gee is all I can say. I don't even want to see the anime because I know it branches off and I just couldn't deal with anything being missed out.
When that happened I was going crazy in my head. It was crap I tell you, Teresa crushed her right from the start. ARGH. Makes me angry even now.
I can't think of anything about it I don't like except maybe the release time. Eugh, everything about it is just amazing.
Creatures of the Abyss are badass. One of my favourite moments has to be when Riful released and fought the new 3&5. I'm sure I'll come up with more but it's just so good. From that clip the anime seems to represent the manga pretty well but I stil don't think I'll watch it.

The anime sticks right to the manga at all times up until episode 20, when it branches off. The ending absolutely sucks. I know, I know... :( It makes me angry too. All of my favourite characters in Claymore die. No one deserves this kind of punishment!

I have so many favourite parts, but seeing Isley's awakened form for the first time stands out to me the most. The whole battle with Rigaldo was immense as well.

Start reading the rest online! I hate reading manga online but I anticipate the release every month. :D It's up to chapter 90 now, and the things that have happened recently have had me constantly on the edge of my seat, and a part of me died while reading chapter 89.

I've already caught up :P. I felt the same way reading 89, I know the part your talking about. I never thought about him feeling that way, it was sad to see him like that. I refuse to believe he's dead.

Couldn't agree more! He's not really dead, that was just his twin brother... wasn't it. WASN'T IT! :'( I'm just going to post what I said on another forum about chapter 89...

Wow, it was so surprising to see Isley fall at the hands of those Abyssal feeders, and such a kick in the balls that they would have retreated if he killed just one more. I never once thought of Isley as a bad guy throughout the entire series, he's always been a decent and nice guy since his introduction. Also, it's actually very heartwarming to see that in the end he would rather be with his makeshift family than trying to take over the world. Seriously, Claymore will not be the same without this guy. Rest in peace, Isley!

Well I'm sure Alicia and Beth could find Riful themselves, so I assum the Abyssal Feeders are also going to be part of the right. We'll just have to wait and see. :eusa_danc

Riful's just asking for trouble trying to awaken them, haha. As soon as she said she'd try and control the awakening and kill them if it goes beyond her control I was just like 'haha, yeah right'. Luciela and Rafaela will be some huge epic force when awakened. Finally something to destroy the strongest awakened beings has been introduced, but I'm thinking soon something able to defeat the abyssal feeders will be introduced, meaning Luciela and Rafaela. It's inevitable!

Teresa's just too awesome, she knows everything and can do anything. :8 Theres still a lot of mystery within the series. I wonder for how many more years, or even decades it will be published. It can't be finishing any time soon, and with the month releases... :eusa_thin

Yeah, damn those Dark Horse logos! Or should I say damn Titan Books for being so far behind America? The volumes are exactly the same... even the staff credits at the back... just one says Titan Books and one says Dark Horse. Why Dark Horse didn't publish it in the UK themselves is a mystery. Eden is praised to death, and it is selling really well in the US. The most recent volume was actually 10th in the weekly best selling manga section in the New York Times. 1st to 9th were all Naruto if I remember correctly, lol.

I would have been so annoyed if I knew about her death before watching/reading the series. :P You should seriously check out what comes before it though. The one who dies is such a badass and one of the strongest characters I have ever come across. She's so awesome that the thought of her dying never once crosses your mind. Then it suddenly happens and you're left speechless. Seriously, I don't think I said anything until the episode ended after I watched that. When I did say something it was 'wait... what the hell just happened!?!?!?!?!' I still can't believe she died, and I saw it over a year ago!

...but Raki lives on! He even survived for over eight years without her... theres a gap in the matrix! Why isn't he dead!? You actually could argue that it was Clare's fault Teresa died though. Clare mellowed Teresa down, and the organisation wouldn't even be after her if it wasn't for Clare. The pre-Clare Teresa wouldn't have given Priscilla a split-second chance to even touch her. Teresa would have taken her out without any pity, without any hesitation, without a second thought!

Also, I wonder who's stronger between Teresa and Alicia and Beth. The obvious answer would be Alicia and Beth, but Teresa destroyed the organisations number 2, 3, 4 and 5 with little to no trouble. Plus Teresa dominated Priscilla with only 10% of her power when Priscilla was using 70%. Heres (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=56339) a pretty interesting thread on the statistics and power levels of all Claymores. It lists Teresa and Alicia and Beth as being pretty much on par.

Teresa took out a released Number 2, former number one though remember? She didn't even try, she just ripped her arm off then crushed her. Since Alicia and Beth are obviously 2 people, are they joint 2nd or joint 1rst in terms of abilities? Personally I think Alicia and Beth wont last long. If Riful doesn't own them, there's always Luciela and Rafaela and of course final boss Priscilla.

I dont think Priscilla would be much of a threat anymore. I also think that Alicia and Beth could probably handle Riful on their own, maybe even with Dauf fighting as well. Remember how they destroyed all of the awaken beings in the north when the rest of the Claymores struggled to defeat only three. Alicia and Beth are in a class of their own. So was Teresa however. Also, Alicia and Beth are two people, but only one does the fighting. Teresa could probably defeat them by taking out whoever controls the other. But anyway, I think maybe Alicia and Beth will be close to defeating Riful, then Riful will awaken Rafaela and Luciela to save her own ass. Then they'll probably defeat Alicia and Beth. It seems that Clare might get thrown in there as well though, since she's going to follow Dauf to find Riful. We have yet to see her new power to the maximum, she might be able to do some pretty serious damange, depending on what side she's on. I personally think that Clare might join Riful. She does want to take down the organisation afterall.

Priscilla isn't a threat in the sense that she's going to kill anyone because she's with Raki and all that, but if she was to fight I think she'd take Alicia and Beth. I agree that Clare might join Riful but I can't really see her standing there as Riful forces her to awaken (even though she just needs her Yoki reading abilities it seems probable that she would make her awaken). I also don't think taking down the organization is top of her list, she seems to be preoccupied with Raki atm and she always mentions "I have two things to do blablabla"; Raki, and I always just presume the other is kill Priscilla despite her never admitting it. Speaking of which, do the other Battle of the North survivors know about Clare wanting to kill Priscilla? The only ones we who we know are aware of this are Rubel, when he said "Do you want Priscilla's head?" or something along those lines and Galatea I'm sure found out when Clare and her were fighting Dauf.

Priscilla could try and take them, but she must be super weak now from having not eaten in years. Look how much she shrunk, and look at how much weaker Isley was because he had only been eating the required amount to survive. Well I assume she wants to take down the organisation as much as she wants to find Raki. I don't think anyone but that legend Rubel knows. Oh and of course Irene. Well, no one seems to know anyway. When Clare first went through Claymore training the other Claymores were saying how she was made using the flesh of a warrior instead of a Claymore, I can't remember if they knew it is Teresa's flesh or not but if they did, they could come to the conclusion that Clare was there when Priscilla killed Teresa. Although I think no one but Rubel and Irene knows the connecton between Teresa and Clare.

The 20th Century Boys DVD is one of the best Special Edition DVDs I have ever seen. Two disc's, two covers, a 24 page booklet full of information and an indepth interview with both the director of the movie and author of the manga and a ton of special features including the Japanese and Paris premiere of the film. The UK finally get the best edition!

The only thing that annoys me is that the booklet is attached to the inside of the cover, you can't take it out. I'd prefer to be able to take it out and read it that way than having to read it from inside the DVD.
