View Full Version : Bullying and How to defeat it!
We all know that teenage life in a culture alike ours today is stricken with bullying and the people who truly think they are 'hard'. But in my opinion, and take this from someone who has been bullied for years in the past, they arent what they may seem.
If you feel like you are being bullied. This includes peer - pressure, which is where you feel forced into doing something that you really do not want to do! Then you must firstly tell someone. Im going to stress the word 'someone' because whenever anyone mentions this word, most people automaticly think, teachers and parents, but the first person i told was my best mate! And he made sure he was there for me when i needed him the most.
If name calling is the type of bullying your receiving, throw it back at them. I know i shouldnt be encouraging bad behaviour, but the worst kind of bully is the bully who cant take his own insults! And sometimes you can upset them as much as they've upset you! Which in your eyes is a good thing. But remember, you didnt like it, so dont go too far!
Being bullied out of your lunch money, or beaten up just for the fun of it is by no means necesary! And if this happens Uncle KnownSinner's advice is to tell somebody immediatly. Fighting is NOT the way forward.
How to stop that bully.
The biggest thing to remember about bullies is that they hate to be bullied. If you do ever experience something like this (which i pray to god you dont) some little tips id like you all to remember:
Telling someone seems like the worst option but in most cases it is the best! (Example: I told my head of year group and within 2 weeks i was loving my time at the school!)
Tell a friend: Sometimes they will stick by and stand up for you.
Dont hide away! : Never hide in the library, it will show that your scared and being scared is something that bully's love to see!
Enjoy the place your in: If bullying is happening at school, then make sure you do not miss school, examples include myself, i missed entire terms of my education because of a huge amount of bullying, but although it may seem lost, i recovered and I am receivign A's and A*'s! (Other than in french, cus french is yakk)
Overall, Be confident! What those bullies think of you, if nothing in your frame of mind. You are You! And You are the best that YOU can be. YOU are respected for who YOU are and never forget that.As a little conclusion, id like to say a big good luck to everyone who is recovering from bullying and hope that this mini guide has helped you! Stand up for youself or they aint gonna stop
I've only told someone once because I bunked off school cos I hated the lesson this dude who pissed me off was in and I just had to tell someone... the most annoying thing about bullies is they always the annoy you when no ones around but when there's a respectable teacher or you're with friends they back the hell off. Preying on the weak. Guess that's how the world goes round.

Sorry, but that guide's a load of crap, take it from someone who knows.
If name calling is the type of bullying your receiving, throw it back at them. I know i shouldnt be encouraging bad behaviour, but the worst kind of bully is the bully who cant take his own insults! And sometimes you can upset them as much as they've upset you! Which in your eyes is a good thing. But remember, you didnt like it, so dont go too far
Tried that, it only made things worse, infact, I probably wouldn't have had to leave school if I would have kept my mouth shut.
All that does is make them get their friends involved and annoy them more, which will probably lead to you getting beaten up.
Telling someone seems like the worst option but in most cases it is the best! (Example: I told my head of year group and within 2 weeks i was loving my time at the school!)
Tell a friend: Sometimes they will stick by and stand up for you.
Sure, tell a friend. It makes things easier to talk to someone you trust so okay, fair point.
However I doubt that friend will stick up for you, they'll probably be too scared that they'll get pulled into it too, as in my case.
Dont hide away! : Never hide in the library, it will show that your scared and being scared is something that bully's love to see!
Actually, I avoided getting beaten up several times by hiding away. You don't have to show them you're scared, just make yourself busy elsewhere, I was never scared of the people who used to ''bully'' me, I just found them immensely pathetic.

Yeah, fair point, your education will suffer if you take time off.
But tbh, the state I was in when I was at school I was advised to take time off. I'd rather have good mental health than get straight As.
Besides, most of the time people who get bullied are at school they're constantly anxious so I doubt they'd be able to take lessons in anyway, atleast at home they can get the work sent and maybe try to keep up.
Overall, Be confident! What those bullies think of you, if nothing in your frame of mind. You are You! And You are the best that YOU can be. YOU are respected for who YOU are and never forget that.
Confidence doesn't really help once you've been ''targeted'', it just makes since worse.
My confidence was what started it all for me, a group of ignorant little girls didn't like me because of the way I did my hair and makeup (that was the reason they gave to my friend before they followed me home and seriously assulted me one day )
And the fact that I spoke back to them rather than just taking it like most of my friends did, so yeah, once they've decided they don't like you confidence doesn't really help...
Nice try though, might be good advice for some people as I can't compare the whole forum's situation to mine. But I had to leave two different school for that reason so I think my opinion is valid.
the weird thing is that alot of bullies don't realise that they are bullying. they're just having a laugh and don't see themselves as bullies.

some of the points would work lmao
depends how long you've been bullied for..
letting it get out of control and letting them have power over you will get you nowhere.
but then again you must be doing something wrong to get bullied in the first place, the 'usual' target in most bullying cases is the shy one that dosn't say anything, and once you get yourself into that its hard to get out.
not that bullying helps your confidence in any way..;)

Typically we pick people who are weak, unconfident and uncharismatic, so any attempts to insult back are just laughable. I can't remember a moment when someone I've insulted (with intent to harm, not as a laugh) has hit me back with something that really hurt. "Bullies" aren't as weak as you're told lol and contrary to popular belief people don't turn out that way because they've had bad pasts, sometimes it is just hilarious for us.
The biggest thing to remember about bullies is that they hate to be bullied.
No the biggest thing to remember is that they are stronger than you in every way, hence why they're the bully and you're the victim.
Telling someone seems like the worst option but in most cases it is the best! (Example: I told my head of year group and within 2 weeks i was loving my time at the school!)
Yeah but everyone thinks you're a ***** then.
Tell a friend: Sometimes they will stick by and stand up for you.
Doubt it, weak people have weak friends.
Dont hide away! : Never hide in the library, it will show that your scared and being scared is something that bully's love to see!
Yeah getting beat up is much better than someone thinking you're scared.. haha no.
Overall, Be confident! What those bullies think of you, if nothing in your frame of mind. You are You! And You are the best that YOU can be. YOU are respected for who YOU are and never forget that.
Hell if the best that you can be is someone who gets bullied for being weak and pathetic that's not something to be confident about. People get bullied because of a lack of confidence, you can't just wake up one morning and think "hey, I'm ugly and stupid, but that's surely the best I can be, right?" and be as confident as a bully can be.
