Basically, my laptop overheats so easily. And, i think i have got loads of viruses on it.
but whenever I run AVG to find and delete them, my PC overheats, before the scan even finishes.
Any ideas?

Try raising the laptop, stick a few dvds under it or something. But dont cover the fan :)

Is it a dell laptop?
My Dell used to overheat and I did some looking and I found a programme that lets you change the fan speeds and have preset speeds for different temperatures etc, so your computer wwill never overheat. :D

It's an acer, but thanks anyway :)
:o I have an acer, and my fan is on the right side :P
Stack dvd cases up on each side so its level and let the fan drain away its heat that way, then run your AVG to make sure =]
Lol Hope it helps, but i had this proiblem too.. all acers seem to get rerli rerli hot!
