Rite, hiy!

Thye both work fine on everyother computer, but wont work on my desktop PC. Sound works fine and everything, just wont pick up any sound from them.

Tried allsorts, help appreciated!

why don't you click the sound button thing at the bottom right? i dunno wot it is, it looks like speakers lolol

right click it & "adjust audio properties"
go to audio and pull the microphone lever thing up?

if that's what you mean?

Try configuring your sound board, it is probably under AC97 or something like that..

Is the microphone USB or a 3.5MM Jack (Usually pink or black)

Make sure the Mic Volume is not muted, turn it up full blast :P

To test if it picks up anything go to Run -> sndrec32.exe

then record your sound the green line should wave around the place if it picks up any sounds from your mic

As it's a plug-in jack and it works with other computers than means it's a problem with your computer.

It could be software related, try the above or try get the computet to recognise a microphone is plugged in.

It could also be a hardware problem, try plugging another microphone into it and see if that works.

I think this may be the same problem as mine.

Try this;

Click on the sound / volume controls icon.
Click options > Advanced controls.
Their should be a control for microphones now.
Click 'advanced' underneath and then tick the 'Mic boost' checkbox.

I am on vista i forgt to mention, that command was not regognised.

As i just said to interact, i am on vista and it's different to that so i don't know if there is an equivilant or im looking in the wrong place.
