Hey.

I recently installed Ubuntu on an old PC. I'm wanting to connect to the internet using my virgin media cable modem but I need the drivers for the modem, I think. Does anyone know of any available for linux?

Thanks,
Jamie.

I dont think you need driver in linux (not sure) I think all you have to do is browse Ubuntu forums and either find a thread or make a new thread, Im sure someone will help you :)

Im not sure if your VM cable modem is the same as mine, but if it is, then don't use the USB (as there are no linux drivers as far as i know).

Instead use the ethernet port to connect to your pc. Then you dont need drivers for the modem, as long as the network port in your pc works :)

i doubt you'd find any drivers for it, but as someone said, try to get an ethernet connection for it. You can get ethernet cards for computers dirt cheap.
