We moved house in July and VM said that their was no fibre optic cables in the new road were we moved so we stuck with them and got rubbish net, rubbish set top box and phone. Well we got STB and phone but not the internet. It took us untill last week to get the internet working (Was their fault) and was charging us 2x a month for some silly mix up and we finally got the net working then on thursday VM were outside connecting someone across the road to VM fibre optic broadband, tv and phone.
Phoned up and spoke to some high up manager and said ''yes you could have had VM fibre optic and our dulux tv package in august when you moved in'' so mum n dad not happy :'(
What should they do?

You won't get anything, my sister was told she could have VM installed at her new house but 3 weeks later and 5 phone calls they came round and decided that VM wasn't available in her area

Similar happened to me, so we threatened to go to sky and they cut our prices give us all sports all movies ect for free and sorted out the connection. We are now paying under the going rate and getting good quality. They decided to care when we said we was going to go to sky

Slightly on/off topic: My Mum did that, we were on the basic package with Setanta Sports thrown in. Mum threatened to move to Sky (she knew the buttons to press as she worked in Sky). Managed to get XL package for £30, Setanta at a reduced price and a free wireless router thrown in :)

extremely :P
I luv Virgin Media, and they have always had great customer service for me. When I rang them for problems in the past, they paid for the cost of the call and fixed any problems for free.

Don't move to BT, they are just a rip off. You need to keep phoning them up and then they will do something about it. I'm quite lucky because my brother use to work for Virgin and we got to keep the high tv package/Broadband for free. We only have to pay for the phone line AND THATS CHEAP!

I'm with BT and I disconnect like every 10 minutes it's so annoying.

Try moving to Sky/Virgin. I mean the Virgin packages are quite cheap.

She works with Sky but doesn't have their TV package?
My stepdad works for BT and gets free home phone, free internet and free BT vision.
I'm stuck on 2meg. The cables here aren't even copper wires =\
