Anyone like them?
But my 2 favourite trains still remain as the
Bombardier T1 at the TTC and
MR-63 at Montreal Subway!
I love the sound of the MR-63 it makes when it starts up (Search on Youtube) They make that sound because of the "Current Chopper" which distributes different voltages seperatly to help a smooth acceleration!
Also i like the sound the Traction Motors make when they start-up on the Bombardier T1 and Class 158

MR-63 - nnever heard of it lolol.
and the Bombardier T1 just reminds me of the D Stock on the District Line of london underground before they were refurbished

Have any of you guys seen the Class 158 rolling stock used by Northern? Recently purchased from Central trains (now East Midlands trains) and Arriva transpenninexpress and the back up stock from First Transpenninexpress?

I personally don't like northern or these trains due to the state of dis-repair
I prefer the class 185's operated by First Transpennine Express.

I think its quite smecksy lol, First class is alot more comfortable than standard in my opinion, and these now operate the Manchester - Edinburgh/Glasgow routes.

I always use them Transpennines from Grimsby lol.
First Class is comfy, even better because FTPE is £6 weekend first upgrade ;)
Northern is just Northern and I hate it, don't I Daniel? ;) - Ohh the joys of waiting in Liverpool Lime Street for a extra hour just to avoid Northern eh Dan? :P

FTPE Class 185 on all the routes also use the class 170 on their Manchester Piccadilly - Hull route
i like Siemens Desiro trains shame about the seats not the best for long routes and yes and the first class seats are good FTPE shame other TOC who use Siemens Desiro trains dont have ones liek that for first class :D

In very rare circumstances that I have to use Northern Rail I hate every second of it.
LOL! - I know I'm sick of trains, :( I spend half my life on them.
Only ever been on FTPE 185s and they are boring now.

:D We should talk more mate, They are barely legal on the safety standards, Also found a slight smell of cat wee

They earn me my crust :D
FTPE Class 185 on all the routes also use the class 170 on their Manchester Piccadilly - Hull routeThis because the 185's supposedly cannot handle the hills (I know ***) and the tracks are too weak to handle a 185 at full belt in places aswell, So they use the turbostar 170s as they have been proven to handle this route quite well

The TPE layout and livery is going to become the norm across the whole first fleet and groups of companies.

Northern is actually so bad.
I agree with the slight smell of piss on the trains too, on new years day I had no choice but to go Leeds -> Doncaster on Northern (40 minutes of hell) and there was a very strong smell of piss..
I say lets come up with a masterplan and totally remove Northern Rail from the UK railway network! :)

Should you even apply for employment with them, I will forward them details of your derogratory comments regarding them, in order to help you. I would also advise you to seek help for your head.

Quite easy...
Write a letter to northern about the safety and smell of wee wee (I have done this and got told "our trains are safe if they are not they don't go fact" and "we clean our trains daily" yeah right, Im sure a week old paper is "that days" but didnt persue it further) let them reply with the mindless dribble (you know a normal Northern response) Write back saying you are not satisfied with their response and inform them you will go to the department of transport as you wish to question the safety of some of their trains.
Bang a letter off to the Department of transport detailing your concerns and let the fireworks fly
