PMs get sent > replies accepting the job > permissions requested and done > THEN it's announced. You'll see people in the Forum Moderator group before its announced if you're lucky, but it depends if the permissions are done while lAscend is online because then they will be announced pretty much straight after.

vBulletin is quite easy. Most moderating features are already on the actual post; as well as the ModCP which is easy to use.

It could be argued some just want the publicity; I'd understand the point from there.

To be honest, It doesn't matter if you've posted on lAscend's profile or even changed your signature, It doesn't make ANY difference.

They only look at your posts, activity and infractions etc. Things that really matter!
The rules are in enough people's signatures etc so if someone needed to know where the rules are they wouldn't need to look far lol.
