Sky+ is reliable too, atleast the boxes are going to be installed to be used as normal sky+ for 3 months, also they get it free, wow, they go a few months without a few HD channels, big deal..

Lol, you're condemning sky as less reliable than virgin because of one buggerup by the manufacturers of the boxes? Come on, surely it should take a bit more than that to arrive at that opinion.

I've been with sky for atleast 4 years or more and I have not had one problem, only when theres a storm that we lose the tv for a few seconds :P

My Sky+ HD has no problems and I'd definetly recommend it to anyone, also Sky gave us our Sky+HD box half price for being a existing customer for a long time so they're brilliant.

I dunno if youve read the article or not, but if you Have a PACE box i'd check the serial number.

The faulty boxes work fine, its just some internal wiring problems. so you may have a faulty one ;)

Sky engineers say Amstrad HD boxes are best

Sky engineers also put cable down peoples drainpipes and straight across fireplaces. They also leave dishes with LNB's hanging off them. Most likely the amstrad is the cheapest box so they are always told to push it.

The panasonic is actually the best box as panasonic make all there own components.

And that is why we told the Sky engineer we would put our box and dish in :P

My dad works for Virgin and we use Sky just shows how reliable they are.

I've had this Amstrad box since 1997/98 and had no problems with it so yeah...
Unless you meant the HD ones then I can't comment on those :P

I've got 3 HD boxes, none are affected. I'm not happy about that. I'd rather have 3 months free service and a few minutes without it while they replace it thanks.

Especially when there's no real problems and they're handling it surprisingly well :P

Mine's a Thomson HD Box, so it's fine by the looks of things. Pace are a strange company.
