charge us for what
I believe, aye, depends on the single bank's T&C's. I know my bank hasn't charged me for anything. Halifax.
Altho, in the T&C it says I have to use the deposit machine and not a cashier :| but yeah.

Its ok now, I just joined the "Consumer Forums" and replies are very quick. Haven't been charged yet though, just in-case it happens. Knowing my bank <_<.

It would probs depend on what sort of charge.
I know I've gone OD on my account and aint been charged yet*
*touch wood I wont for a far while.
I think it depends on the bank and what type of account.

I'm with Barclays, gone overdrawn a million times and they just send me a letter saying they covered the cost and I wont be charged.
Sooo idk.

I've read that goes to 0 when you turned 18? Not sure how true that is though as it was on the internet somewhere. But anyway after explaining it all. He has said:
They shouldn't charge you cos you have an adapt account and whether the DD went through or otherwise, the bank have mismanaged your account allowing you something which they clearly state is not permitted on the account. Why permit something that isn't allowed?
Furthermore, if it takes the account into minus figures then they are giving credit to someone under 18 which is against the Consumer Credit Act....they are stuffed in all honesty.

Lol, same, dnt want to get my credit messed up.. :P
I was in the exactly same position as Matt, i was sending some money through Paypal, £12.50 exact and the page was slow loading so i stupidly press the send money again so they took £12.50 from my bank (as i never had enough in my paypal) i also never had enough in my bank.
So i got charged £38.00, so i was quite scared as i think they call for it every week so, they'll charge you again if you haven't paid... :P
Just phoned up my bank, explained what had happened and the man told me they'll just put it down as a Bank error - probably taking my age into consideration but he also warned not to set up any more Direct debits as i'm underage to do so, fair enough. :)
Nice man, very kind and helpful.

The guy who helped me on another forum said it can be the banks fault for not monitoring our "accounts". Because they know we can't have direct debits but they still let us have them. :P Silly banks, trying to fool us :(. Well, I have sent ebay the money via bank transfer as I didn't know there email for instant. Can take up to 9 bloody days!! So if NatWest charge me, they can get bloody stuffed.

I just get letters from Halifax saying that so and so tried to withdraw so much from my bank account and the funds weren't there so they refused the transaction and I don't get charged lol

NatWest must not check the age of the person who owns the account then. Its probably just an automated letter and they don't really check until someone phones and goes. "Hold on a minute, I'm under 18".

As they say. :P
I owe ebay £10 but my bliming paypal is limited so i can't send them them the money and i tried using my card but as it's connected to my paypal account i can't use it...
only have one card aswell...
It's been i think 4-5 months, maybe a little longer since I've meant to pay them, every week or so the keep sending me emails, so I've really need to get that sorted as then they'll pass it on to debt collectors - they'll add on more money and credit gets wrecked up.. :(

Debt collectors CANNOT touch your credit rating EVER without permissions from the courts :)

It's usually a week before you come out of negative balance.

Oh right. Hopefully they'll take my age into consideration!! Ahaha :P

I don't have an overdraft because I'm not stupid *dances* :D
I don't think NatWest charge clients for anything small as far as I have paid attention with other members of my family and their accounts. It would be odd if they charged you for going into your OD, in theory it's like a reserve tank - if you have a £1,000 OD, the card would be declined if you attempt to go over it.
EDIT: What banks are you people with :S

I'm with Natwest but they still charged me £28.00 plus the £12.50.
I think i'm going to start joining some more Banks, Natwest is a good bank though.

you really shouldn't be able to overdrawn as far as I know, credit facilities (i.e being able to go overdrawn) are only supposed to be available to 18+.
But anyway, I went overdrawn once when PayPal didnt take the money out of my account for a few days (I thought it already had) and without much attention it took it out and I was -£1.02, didn't get charged any extra. As soon as I noticed it I transferred some cash from another account.
