I know how things work, it's just as hard to get tickets for a united game.
Not for a home game, with alot more seats available.

Yeh it was a great game, end to end at times, and if 4 - 3 was achieved fairly by the rags i still ofcourse would of been pissed, but felt some kind of pride that we put up a fight.

I know how things work, it's just as hard to get tickets for a united game.
See this is what confuses me. Why support a team, if you are not going to hardly watch them? If I didn't go to any Man City matches, I would have long ago supported a more local team like Wolves.
I know, 2 Arsenal fans, 1 Chelsea and 4 United fans who have all stopped supporting them teams to support there local team (Wolves). Because as soon as they started watching a few Wolves games with there mates, they realised what supporting a club is actually all about.
If you live near United's ground and can't get a ticket, then fair enough. But it must be so boring not being able to celebrate with other fans...
you see it'd of been a great game to have been watched but when the ref spoils it like that it goes like >.< why bother playing at united when the refs can't cope, if anyone watched on skysports, anyone see after the goal baconface have a laugh with the 4th official.
How was it 4 minutes? 2 goals second half, 3 subs should be 3 minutes. goal was scored in the 6th minute. How was it at a foul by whoever leading to the 3kick to the goal? How? How? How?
How is this ref allowed to take a refereeing course.

Sad thing is you took time out of your life to produce that to produce a reaction from me.
Just a quick note, the board went up after the goal. Meaning only thirty seconds should of been added for the substitute. The celebration time was added to the normal stoppage time (it was three minutes, we scored, it was then four minutes).
I'm off out now. I'll read all the "proper nawty" replies and laugh about it tonight.

No not really, the atmosphere when your at home (Watching it on TV) may not be the same if your actually at the game but it's not far off espically if the game has been interesting throughout.
But you've got to understand.. NOT everyone has the money to afford going to a game week in, week out, when it's like £30 per game not including travel costs and food.
But hopefully i'll be able to more United games when i'm older.

Using two accounts, one to post to cause arguements, isn't that against the rules or is that just for staff? Hm...
Also, I think the fact that he thinks United didn't deserve a goal shows what a biased, arrogant and ignorant fan he is. He only thinks City can do well and no other team so to be honest, he is the worst type of fan a club can have and I have no respect whatsoever for him :)
Anyway... Great game for a neutral to watch :)

Also people seem to be forgetting the four minute means, four minutes minimum. Matty, it didn't restart until the second minute, so one extra minute wasn't sufficient. Then with the substitute, it's right. United were all over City in the second half. Defensive errors awarded City all their goals. I don't think Foster cuts it, unfortunately. Maybe need to dabble in the market for a new keeper because we can't have VDS for ever.

Well if you support a local team, you don't have to pay for the travel. You don't need to buy food? I mean, I take a packet of crisp which must cost 20p? So £30 should be the cost for a match. Now if you can't afford to pay that once ever fornight, then you must be living in a cardboard box.

supporting your local club is really important. I support Derby County, however, I live in Nottingham. I regularly see Derby games as it's a 30 minute train ride, 50 minute bus ride or 20 minutes in the car, and tickets aren't too bad £17 in the loudest section of the ground. But also, I went to see Nottingham Forest (scum scum) yesterday and I have seen a few Notts County games too.
Supporting Manchester United whilst living in a place like Southampton is an injustice to football. Clubs are slipping ever going out of business because too many 'fans' instead of going to see their local teams turn on their tellies on a Saturday Lunchtime, Teatime or on Sunday afternoon.

Ok. £30 per game. + £10 for petrol (By car) £10 - £15 (Train) £5 for food but no nesciarlly - Home made sandwiches w/e. :P
So that's like £40 per game. That;s a lot.
Sock has been a City fan for ages? He was posting here last year pmsl. He just hasn't posted on this forum hardly anymore.

I know four ex-United fans that have support United since about your age too. As soon as they actually watched a real match, not what you see on a computer screen. They all turned to that local team (Wolves) as they can actually support a club now. If the cost is too high for you, then move on and you will find what real football is all about.

I was cheering Owen when they scored because I wanted United to win. Doesn't mean I'm less of an Arsenal fan does it. This is a thread about United and City, nothing to do with Doncaster so why would he post anything about them in the first place?
Before anyone says, 'Oh you support Arsenal you glory Hunter' or w/e, they are my Local team, and I've supported them my whole life ;)
Fair enough if you cheer about someone. But if you keep on going about that player an hour after he scored, then something doesn't seem right. He doesn't have to post anything about Doncaster, but he posted enough about a United player to make anybody believe he was a United glory hunter.
Have you seen me repeatedly celebrating about Adebayor scoring against Arsenal? Nope, and he even plays for my club! I find it so funny how you and two Arsenal fans from my school hate my club now. :P I didn't actually have anything against Arsenal until they shown the racism and lack of support against us last week. Also the now new hatred against are club lol.
I think the word 'GloryHunter' is overused these days

How was it 4 minutes? 2 goals second half, 3 subs should be 3 minutes. goal was scored in the 6th minute. How was it at a foul by whoever leading to the 3kick to the goal? How? How? How?
How is this ref allowed to take a refereeing course.
Four minutes is standard.
4 goals = 2:00.
Substitutions = 2:00
30secs for each...
Ridiculous comment to make. :eusa_clap
Oh get over yourself boy!
Guess we have another City fan here.
It was locked a 3-3. No penalty was awarded nothing... extra minute or so could of gone either way. Would you be complaining if it went in your favour? As in you won the game? Didn't think so.
The queston is though, would you of minded if it went against you? it works either way yet you wonder why we're complaining?

No you haven't hence why I don't have anything against you and think that you are a good City fan, unlike a certain other City fan on this Forum. And to be honest, even before the season started I didn't respect City for spending loads and trying to buy success, it had nothing to do with the game. And also, the lack of respect wasn't soo much to do with City, more to do with Toure and Adebayor, well no mainly Adebayor as Toure did well with Arsenal, and no-one really Critisised him leaving as he wanted a change. Adebayor on the other hand, showed disrespect for Arsenal and purposely injured his ex team-mate which is why people don't respect him. Also, I don't understand how it was racism. Maybe I was missing something as I didn't see the whole game but why would be racist to him? We have plenty of players the same race/colour as him and we aren't racist to them. We weren't even racist whilst he played for the club, we thought he was lazy hence why we booed him. Race doesn't have much to do with it I don't think. Even Henry said the Celebration was disrespectful towards the arsenal fans and manager as without them, he would probably be playing for Monaco and wouldn't be as good of a player as he is now.
Anyway, that's that delt with.

you see games with 1 minute added on.. in your mind that means there was 2 subs 0-0. It doesn't work like that. I was watching the game with a football league ref (championship) and he agrees with me.

The thing is, City have nothing to complain over. The ref didn't make any mistakes during the game really, and as said above, the Mins added on have been justified by the sub/bellamys goal celebration.
If City had scored, then I know United fan's will be saying: Oh the time was up, they shouldn't have scored.. but to be honest, from a neutral point of view, it was a perfectly fine goal and a great game.

No point in moaning about it, it's happened and to rub salt into the wound Bellamy will be banned.
End of the day is we went away and scored three goals at Old Trafford. If our defence had more time together we might not of let in four goals but who knows.

Well... not the post I was expecting from you. Good post though. I think when it is at City, if they have a full squad, they will win, however, if it was based on the 2nd half the score was generous towards City to be honest but City played well first half.

In 1971, the two Manchester clubs contested a thrilling Maine Road derby which ended 3-3. In 1990, ditto. In 2009, a game which looked to be heading the same way was derailed thanks to a failure by the referee to halt proceedings at the point at which it was promised they would be. Both sides would have taken a point from the game, both managers would have shaken hands without any acrimony regarding the final result, regardless of who deserved the win. United blew it in 1971, City in 1990. It would have been argued that both sides had blown this one when the 94th minute had elapsed - Tevez missing a chance to put City 2-1, Shay Given keeping City in it in the second half. The losing manager, Mark Hughes, would not have felt it incumbent upon himself to mention the referee's role and state that his side felt "aggrieved" by the outcome. Alas, the chance to celebrate a truly great game with a fitting, thrilling 3-3 draw, in which both sides had played their part, was ruined thanks to a referee not doing his job properly.
Sums it up really but at the end of the day I don't see any point in boiling your blood. I sat and watched it on TV because I couldn't get a ticket so I'm not going to feel the same passion as those who attended in the City end however it's done. We've got a game in hand over Liverpool against a West Ham side missing Upson and Behrami.
Hughes said in his interview, they've looked at the goal celebration and it was 45 seconds, 45 seconds less than the time played.

I know four ex-United fans that have support United since about your age too. As soon as they actually watched a real match, not what you see on a computer screen. They all turned to that local team (Wolves) as they can actually support a club now. If the cost is too high for you, then move on and you will find what real football is all about.
The thing is I've, been to 9 united matches so i know what it's all about.
Obviously your friend's weren't real United fans because if they supported them for years why all sudden go support a different team?
Real Football? United play Real football.
Say if you moved to another City.. would you still support the Blues? :eusa_clap

Difference is: £11.50 + 5 = 16.50. 16.50 x 9 = £148.50.
£45 + 5 = 50. 50 x 9 = £450.
As you can see, to go to 9 Oxford games it costs £150 pounds basically, and to go to 9 United games it costs £450. £300 is quite a bit of difference :P
P.S: £5 = Travel cost by coach, and it according to the site it is £11.50 for a student in full time education per match.

Oh no! That makes such a difference! My mates must have seen 2/3 games but to be able to see Wolves every fortnight makes them happy enough, and some are even going to away games!
I have seen Fleetwood Town FC play four times and I only ever watch them when I see my cousins (twice a year) and a match is on at the same time. That hardly makes me a fan lol. A true fan watches must at least, (as a minimum!) four games in one season of their club. So unless you have supported United for the past two years then maybe fair enough. But I'm guessing not as you supported them when you was two. How many home games have you missed from Man Utd then over the last few seasons? Naughty naughty.

It's not that easy if you live far away, especially if you are uni, or if your doing your A Levels. Plus if your a student, 50 quid is quite a lot for a football match. It depends really, on how far you live and how much it is. In my life, I've probably seen... 50-60 Arsenal games, however, the bulk was when I was younger as recently I just don't have time. This season I will try to make to at least 5 home games, maybe more but I don't have the money or time as it's a big year.

Guys, I know how MOTD2 covered this and yes according to that it was 1 second.
However,
Sky sports news this morning went through the official fifa rules.
There is nothing saying the ref adds on the 55 seconds for the goal celebration. However, if the ref official at his discretion thinks that there was a hint of timewasting in it then he can add more on. This is why Hughes was wanting an explanation from the ref at the end of the game as in no way was Bellamy's celebration exaggerated.
I'm sorry for having this rant, but I'm just making a point on something most people probably didn't see on SSN.

What I don't get is why it was 60 seconds added on for Bellamy and 16 seconds added for Owen. Come on, answer that.
No point in arguing over it because it's done however if you are going to try and argue with him answer the above before you carry on.

I'm not saying "complete bullcrap" i'm saying exactly how it came up on the screen, unless my screen is like diseased or something and it shows last before first then sorry. However, it isn't and if sky sports news posted clips then I'd show you.
Edit@ Post above. Not trying to argue, and it's gone, i'm just looking forward to next manchester derby, like i said in my post before I stated that I don't want to have a rant or nothing.

all Bellamy did on the celebration was go into the corner and cheer with city and came back. I don't find that 'time wasting' tbh.

he was celebrating, which was taking up valuable time, so the referees added on more time? what's so bad about that? :S it happens all the time, just that this happened in such a big game that it's been highlighted.

It's football? Oh yes sir "It's just football". You do know to some people it's not "just football", ever heard of passion? Or do you support United?

Bellamys celebration was shorter than Owens however we played SIXTEEN seconds after kick off then the referee blew for full time.

whatever, who cares. What's done is done. The ref made the decision to allow the goal and that means United beat City.
What's a better conversation is who would win in a fight between Fergie and Sparky. I reckon Sparky'd be on top but Fergie would have the ref DQ Hughes for something or nothing.
