You may or may not know that I started Instant Upload (http://instant-upload.com/) because I had a good amount of reseller space left until december. I was never planning to turn it into a major site but then Google Adsense paid out. Then I decided I was going to make a go of this site.
Server Change
This morning I spent ages downloading all of the images uploaded onto the site and my computer was working hard through the day, uploading all those images. They are now on both our old server and new server, so any cached computers will be fine. The new server we are on is powered by Wired9, whom are currently working on their main website. Their servers are powerful and are therefore the perfect place to host Instant Upload. Contact Zasky on this forum for some decent hosting if interested.
So yes, my old reseller expires in December. Everyones cache should have updated / cleared by then.
If you have any comments or questions about our service / the site etc. then please post below.

Why didn't you just transfer them server to server instead of making your computer the medium? No reason it took so long to transfer them :P
Use your old server to compress the images/uploads folder into a .tar.gz, then use your new server to wget http://www.mysite.com/uploads.tar.gz then use your new server to uncompress them.
Saves half the time.

More more than half the time. Probably more like 50 x the time lol.

Haha, I didn't exactly know how much exactly time it would save.. I just knew it would be a hell of a lot.

ahhh I didn't even think :( Haha. Tbh if I move in future I will have to do that because downloading and uploading was painful.

Well if you're on normal hosting instead of a VPS/dedi, you'll have to move sometime, if you get popular that is.

Well I think a netherlands site are using it as an image storage place. Not fussed if they are. 72% of hits are from NL so I guess that'll be image hits. I need to set up some analytics really...
I've been getting from 500-1500 uniques each month but webalizer aint reliable.

Looks like you're doing a great job with it so far, congratulations.
Maybe jazz it up a little bit, yet keep it as simple as you are. Perhaps an AJAX progress bar or something that just keeps the user that little bit extra interested?

I agree with Hamhey
Well done on the site though, keep at it. Its popular atm and im sure it could be more popular. Maybe add a login where you can organise links to your images and stuff, delete etc.
Now that, would be cool.

Oli Stanley actually did a new design. I may consider coding it + ajax progress sounds good too tbh. Yeh I'll definately look into it. Thanks for ideas :)
EDIT: If i'm honest, I don't want to introduce LOADS of features because it's meant to be DEAD SIMPLE. Thats my selling point. No crap if u get me :P

I like your service but don't use it because there is no way I can manage my images.

Jack, slighty off-topic (well ok completely off-topic), but I went onto your forum, and saw the fireworks night annoucement to read:
It's that time again.. 5th November where we celebrate the houses of parliament being blown up :S:S:S:S:S:S:S:S:S. It's celebrated by the use of fireworks and bonfires so from everyone at TeenDiscuss have a happy Firework Night!Anyway, would be nicer on the eyes if you made it so that it was in the centre of the screen, saves having to stare towards the top of the monitor for however long. Other than that looking good! ;)

Hmmmm. I could actually follow crazy upload + tehupload and see if it's possible to do an upload program in VB.net.

Thanks. I'm going to be coding the design Oliver Stanley did for me :) It's much better.
But umm yeh. I guess I'm going to look into perhaps doing an OPTIONAL advanced thing. But the default will be simple because thats the selling point lool.

Would that be an online based manager or computer side?

Both. I don't know though yet. I might just do a basic image upload + basic management.

a basic image manager would be great and online would be even betta - just something simple like tinypic would be good

But why would you use my site over tinypic?

Your site loads images much faster - however i like to keep track of my images!
