    Default Instant-Upload - Server Move

You may or may not know that I started Instant Upload because I had a good amount of reseller space left until december. I was never planning to turn it into a major site but then Google Adsense paid out. Then I decided I was going to make a go of this site.

    Server Change
This morning I spent ages downloading all of the images uploaded onto the site and my computer was working hard through the day, uploading all those images. They are now on both our old server and new server, so any cached computers will be fine. The new server we are on is powered by Wired9, whom are currently working on their main website. Their servers are powerful and are therefore the perfect place to host Instant Upload. Contact Zasky on this forum for some decent hosting if interested.
So yes, my old reseller expires in December. Everyones cache should have updated / cleared by then.

If you have any comments or questions about our service / the site etc. then please post below.

Why didn't you just transfer them server to server instead of making your computer the medium? No reason it took so long to transfer them

Use your old server to compress the images/uploads folder into a .tar.gz, then use your new server to wget http://www.mysite.com/uploads.tar.gz then use your new server to uncompress them.

    Saves half the time.

More more than half the time. Probably more like 50 x the time lol.

Haha, I didn't exactly know how much exactly time it would save.. I just knew it would be a hell of a lot.

Well if you're on normal hosting instead of a VPS/dedi, you'll have to move sometime, if you get popular that is.

Well I think a netherlands site are using it as an image storage place. Not fussed if they are. 72% of hits are from NL so I guess that'll be image hits. I need to set up some analytics really...

I've been getting from 500-1500 uniques each month but webalizer aint reliable.

Looks like you're doing a great job with it so far, congratulations.

Maybe jazz it up a little bit, yet keep it as simple as you are. Perhaps an AJAX progress bar or something that just keeps the user that little bit extra interested?
