Do you know whether they intended to steal the camera because they knew it was important, or was it just something they managed to grab along with the TV and other valuables?

it was a day time robbery and they had everything planned, towels and stuff put onto the floor to steal it. So its sounds like they targetted them directly with some sort of purpose.
Her family has asked for it back but with minds as sick as that i can't see it happening, i would have never expected something like this from my area.

I'm going to sound a bit harsh here, and I do believe that it is an abhorrently hideous act, but with data as important to them as that they really should have backed it up or made copies.

That's sick and horrible :| Obviously these burglars knew family background, why else would they, on top of everything else, take family videos of their daughter that died :|...

thing is, for what they've done i think the maximum justice they'll get served is 6 years... which i find no where near enough for people as sick minded as this.

Look, as bad a burgalry is, it happens all the time, i highly doubt they specifically targeted the family just take get photos like you're all making out.
families lose memories in all burgalries, it happens. Still doesnt excuse the fact its bad though.

Im not saying they targetted getting the photos, but it sounds like they targetted the house itself on purpose.

Every smart burgler does there research on houses before they do anything. It's not like they just turn up at a random house and burgle it. I highly doubt they took the tapes on purpose as a sick joke. Was probably just a normal burgulry and they took the tapes by accident as they were grabbing all of the other stuff. Saying that, any robbery is obviously sick and stupid and they should return the tapes somehow but posting it to them or something else.

most people from my area are thick ***** though and don't even know how to plan the next 10 seconds of their life...
If they had any respect for anyone they'd return the tapes, but i wouldn't expect thiefs to have a guilty heart at any time :l
i wander if theirs anything in the news today about it to.

Summat like this happened before and the sent all the photos back.
I dont think they specifically target any house, they just look for a vulnerable one and figure something out. They might plan, but they certainly don't target people. Unless of course the person si well off

What kind of burglar takes photos and videos? I've heard of a lot of burglaries but they usually have the decency to leave photos and stuff alone. My grandparents have been burgled twice, infront of the TV there were loads of family photos. The burglars carefully placed the photos on the carpet and then stole the TV.
Pretty sick to steal videos, I mean it's not like you can sell them to make much anyways.

she sent me a pm saying "action will be taken if you continue" doesn't exactly take a rocket scientist to find out whether or not someone is a spammer.

I know but why would I care? my life isn't on this forum. I mainly use other forums due to the childish sillyness of the way mods deal with situations. any other forums it would just get left. it has no rude words nor links to porn or viagra ;P

I find the easiest way to get around this is to play another game :)
I started with entropia universe and its much more entertaining than habbo.
