Although HxHD is suffering from not the best of times (e.g. so many people complaining about the new-room-which-is-almost-old), I think they actually deserve some praise mainly to the staff.
A good few months ago, when I went into HxHD at 7am, there would be no one there for an hour till Mathew (formally omgMatt) came in with a little chat with me, that would be it. Now as the months go in, there have been more and more staff in at these less-popular zones, and when people ask a question, for once I do not have to answer it! The same applies to about midnight, when I'm on then once in a while.
On the other hand, a lot of the staff do come and go, which can be quite irritating, and I have seen people ask and then the staff say "one sec" and then go for about 5 minutes, causing the person to leave without any help. So I put this just to limit the amount of time the Staff keep disappearing!
Overall though, I think HxHD has improved vastly, so well done to the Management but a special well done to the staff.
Well HxhD now have as many staff as events which i don't think is right unless they are managed exceptionally. Which at the moment they're not because imo with 16ish staff. At peak you should have 5 people minimum in there and not peak 1-2 and i mean active and helping not just sitting there chatting to mates when people need help or just sitting their and moving every 5 minutes o not to get kicked.
I went in yesterday at about 2 and there was no staff in there :)!!!

I wouldn't say "2" was peak. I would think 5 or 6 would be, and thats where there are a lot of staff, many behind the bar.

The amount of staff in there at any one time has improved a lot, and it's all down to just choosing the right people who were in there originally - the people who actually enjoy being there.
Gems.x is a good example of dedication to that room. She is in many nights and not see many people at all. By having people around the clock like this, it's reflecting well on visitors.
Nice to see some good feedback.. :P

Dont think its fair you can say that when you've been in once.
Its great that we have a great bunch of staff who are really active, and dedicated :)

Not particularly. If staff from other departments are noticing this, then that is fair enough.
Well done HxHD.

Rates are as follows:
£1 - this department is good
£2 - this department is really good
£3 - this department is super brilliant and they all deserve medals
£4 - this department is extremely amazing and all staff should be promoted to general manager....
I thought it was a really good idea actually (oh look 2 pound for me). Seriously now though, HxHD has definitely improved so keep it up!... and all staff should be promoted to general manager (another 4 pound).
I do actually mean the bold part :)

It has become more active indeed but I think more can be done to get more people in there. I do however think its less active now than it was during Halloween.

Every week there is someone complaining about HxHD and usually they're right. When are HxHD going to sort out their Staff, Room, Rules etc! It's not that hard. Yes it has improved mainly due to a several few, but it just seems the Help Desk is getting complaint after complaint. You don't see this happening to other departments as often. I am not saying that the Help Desk should do whatever the people who complain say but maybe start actually Valueing (However you spell it) the publics opinion. A while back when we had the Mall tele I decided to go have a look at HFFM's Lounge and It was packed! I have no idea what they are doing but it's about time we take a page out of their books.

Thanks for providing feedback, but I have never seen you visit HxHD before:S
Edit: Also what you're saying doesn't add up. We've recently changed the staff limit, room design and several rules. Plus not all of these things are being complained about. Telling us to "sort out our staff and room" isn't much to go by.

Out of all the departments, I think the Help Desk probably finds it hardest to find dedicated staff and grow generally because it's the only one who needs to look beyond its normal users when recruiting.
So if it is showing signs of improvement, well done HxHD :).

Everytime i look on the feedback forum theres a thread complaining about something, all the staff then says "No, you're wrong" 2 days later theres a staff announcement saying that you are making the change that was argued in the thread.
And because I do not come to the desk often does that mean I'm not allowed to have an opinion about it?

No-one said you couldnt have an opinion but it would be nice to have some feedback on how we could improve rather then giving bad points without feedback.
I think personally seeing as hxhd has had a staff increase i have seen a improvement, as there are more staff to be active at earlier times such as 7am onwards i'd admit, sometimes there arent staff in the room, but you cant really expect us to active 24/7, well done HxHD theres a improvement :)

Every week? Not really. That's just exaggeration and making the situation look bad. When are HxHD going to sort out their staff? Erm what is there to sort out? The room is perfectly fine and can you see the HxHD staff forum? NO. So please don't make statements such as this when you have no idea what you are on about.
Also please state what there is to sort out with the staff, the room and the rules? Its better to actually say it then just go YOU NEED TO SORT IT OUT. We cant really sort it out if we don't know what you think we need to sort out "/. There are other departments which do get complaints, believe me, its just not in public. How do you know the HxHD management dont value the members opinion?
I think you are just moaning to try and cause arguments. Can you see what is posted in the HxHD Staff Forums? NO. I can start moaning about the Radio Department and how crap it is but I wont. There are some DJs who are so annoying and suck up's on the radio when they get a popular Habbo in their room. OMG OMG XXX IS IN THE ROOM. EVERYONE SAY I LOVE XXX. I AM GNA SCREENIE EVERYONE SAYING I LOVE XXX. OMG XXX IS HERE, EVERYONE COME DOWN. YAY XXX IS HERE. AWW XXX IS BEING MEAN BY NOT TALKING. XXX TALK TO US. - That happened about 2 days ago and it was so irritating. This was followed by OMG THERE IS NO DJ AFTER ME. OMG OMG OMG. LEMME GO FIND A DJ. OMG OMG OMG. - Listening to that was just "/. I could have easily complained about this in public and said DJs shouldn't do this and that, but I didn't and just informed a member of the Radio Staff.
HxHD is popular and has a lot of members many times. Maybe HFFM get their DJ's to come (if they have a radio dept which I am sure they do) to their Lounge to get it popular. Do you not think that you as a DJ should maybe try and help other departments, such as advertising the HxHD sometimes to get it popular? Its easy to moan about something, but you are staff in a department which has influence on Habbos and you should use it to help other departments.

No we're not? I believe there's been around 3 HxHD threads since I became assistant manager.
I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, I'm just saying people like Alex or Scott would have better suggestions for HxHD because they're frequent visitors.

Unfortunately HxHD gets people spamming 24/7 and trying to cause non stop arguments, so its a little hard to be relaxed on the rules. We want it to be a friendly environment. If we were too relaxed on the rules, people will argue that we don't do anything about the rule breakers.

HFFM is much better because the staff don't care
if someone comes into hxhd and starts being rude, gets kicked and told off etc theres more chance they'll "e-rebel" to annoy the staff instead of just getting past it..
If people broke the rules habbo mods would take action if its that bad.

But if someone comes in HxHD and goes "I hate Bob", Bob will most likely start arguing. Then it will end up being one big argument and then it pushes people away from HxHD.

From the HFFM webiste
"If you wish to come behind the bar you must be wearing the HabboFunFM badge, you can join by clicking here, and someone with rights will then open the gate for you to come through. If you want rights in The Lounge you must be a dedicated member of HabboFunFM!"
as their room is just a lounge they dont really need staff, as we are still a help desk we need staff to not only help people who need it but to enforce the rules to people who may not know them.

I think people also forget that most departments require staff to done 'something' about 1>3 times a week and alot of the times it is in time slots so people know exactly when they are going to be doing what ever they are doing. HxHD has people in and out all of the time, obviously there is times when there isnt active or any staff in there but there is ALOT of dedication, I would say more so from HxHD staff than many other departments because of that.

We're always trying to make the HxHD department better, as honestly its not perfect. However you cant expect a change to be done overnight, it all takes time. We always take in peoples opinions and if we agree we act on it. If you come in here saying oh HxHD get yourself sorted out I dont value it as you're offering no suggestions or backing your statement up. If you dont have some contructive critism then there's no point just agreeing

That is precisely what I mean by "HxHD needs to sort out their staff" Most of the staff are great...
Ben & David - Made some great changes to HxHD which has already been stated in this thread
Gems - always in the HxHD in the wee hours of the morning
James - Really dedicated, obviously loves his job
Molly - Same as above
But then there are people like Saurav whose way of solving problems is getting angry at people, if a dj is saying "Come down here" thats obviously going to make more visitors go to HxHD won't it?

No-one said you couldnt have an opinion but it would be nice to have some feedback on how we could improve rather then giving bad points without feedback.
The bad points would be the feedback if I was to say 'HxHD are to strict with the rules' would I really also need to say ' to be better they need to be less strict'. You can't always expect people to give you good feedback aswell as bad I'm afraid.
When I was HxHD Manager these threads were happening because of the nature of what HxHD is it will always have threads complaining. Unlike other departments HxHD is open to the Habbo public 24/7 I guess you could say the same for HxL but once the radio has stopped broadcasting it is effectivly closed.

You've hit the nail on the head right here. It's all well and good implementing new systems to sort out rowdy guests, but I applied to be a staff a year ago for the simple reason: I know a lot about Habbo.
Moderating the room should be second priority, but it seems right now that it's (sadly) the first.

Ditto. That's exactly why I brought it up. People much rather would say "blah blah please don't be rude" rather than someone who genuinely needs help. I know troublemakers should abide by the rules, however personally, I think people who do need help should be answered before warning people. They know they are in the wrong anyway, so they wouldn't be surprised with a kick.

If you were rude you were given several chances then kicked. Simple.

Bet he still didn't ban people and kick them willy nilly.
Oli, when I was a trialist I remember you being in the HxHD room and a girl came in and said, "I'm pregnant". You told her to "GET THE **** OUT" and kicked her. I think that's pretty willy nilly:P
But in 2006 staff had more flexibility to maneuver when it came to who got kicked and banned from the room. Which was really unfair to some guests, because different staffmembers had totally different standards of how they'd moderate the room.
Also, because Sulake has lossened on some of their rules (such as removing the language filter), and because Habbo Moderation is not as active as it was in 2006 there are more trollers and troublemakers now in 2009 than there were in 2006. Resorting to old standards would unfortunately no longer work, because times have certainly changed:).

He's talking about whats happening atm and that overall staff are moding as first priority.
I shall make it clear to staff that helping is essential :)
As Mathew said.. he knows that...
@ david we had a system, if someone came in causing trouble they would leave and not return until they were coming to not cause trouble.
Your system just winds people up and makes them want to piss you off more.

Habbo babies are ******ed and should be kicked like that so fair play to him
Habbo moderation is as active as it used to be if someone is racist etc and i report them they get banned within seconds.... however habbo mods are not fat nerds who are stuck to their screen and soon as they see a bad word or someone being rude instantly ban them, as they know we're teenagers and not 4 year old kids who just learned a new swear word and people are obviously going to be rude etc, but its the internet; its a virtual hotel who really cares if someone calls you a name over it at the end of the day?

As far as how we tell people how long they are banned, and what we say when we warn them, those aspects have not changed.

I agree with you about Habbo moderators not doing as much as they could, but the problem I have with allowing users to insult eachother in the desk is that other people -online or not- do have feelings. And by insulting said people their feelings will be hurt:)

Well HxhD now have as many staff as events which i don't think is right unless they are managed exceptionally. Which at the moment they're not because imo with 16ish staff.
Far too many staff tbh, especially for a room that's supposed to be more relaxed and loungelike than it used to be. What's needed is a range of staff from different timezones (only 2 non-UK currently as far as I know) so that they're not all on at the same time and then leave the room empty after.
Thanks for providing feedback, but I have never seen you visit HxHD before:S
The classic David answer. This is the same one you used when I complained however many months ago, despite the fact that I was a regular at the time.
When are HxHD going to sort out their staff? Erm what is there to sort out?
As above
HxHD is popular and has a lot of members many times. Maybe HFFM get their DJ's to come (if they have a radio dept which I am sure they do) to their Lounge to get it popular. Do you not think that you as a DJ should maybe try and help other departments, such as advertising the HxHD sometimes to get it popular?
Are you suggesting asking the DJs to go in the desk for their parties? That is possibly the most complained about thing that DJs have ever done throughout the history of Habbox
Theres 3 rules in HxHD, follow habbo way, follow staff instructions, dont impersinate staff
I saw earlier in the thread that you'd told someone that members of the public should be helping if staff aren't doing their job (just as well there's a backup eh) but if I've ever tried to do that in the past I've been caught for the impersonating staff rule, so which is it people should do: join in or shut up?
We didnt even have bans in 06 and we had people like pleke, joe, ryan, alex.
Joe still goes on every now and then to be fair, but it's literally just for like 10 minutes a month to dress as a girl and pick a fight with David

Didn't seem to mind too much when you were insulting me the last time I was on, and decided once I'd told you that I felt insulted to continue in what you were doing anyway.
