When you're stressed, upset or mad, what do you do to calm yourself down?

I'm just curious to know how other people deal with it.

The term "calm down" doesn't usually apply to me because I'm generally not a hot-headed person, but if I need to change my mood to something more upbeat just stick some psytrance on and have a full on mental dance, pretty much always does the trick

Probably have a moan about it to somebody you trust and tell them it's just a rant to get it off your chest. It helps me.

Although if I'm angry, I start to hit things, I know I shouldn't but yeah

i usually go somewhere by myself and think it through or listen to music to calm me down :P

I tend to rant at someone or go for a run and push myself, hard. Exercise is a really good reliever of stress.

I very rarely do exercise but if I'm angry and i exercise it tends to make me feel relaxed or just really be alone and listen to music

Play guitar for some time. I can end up playing guitar for hours if I'm that annoyed at something.

Either do something to distract myself, like code something, listen to Hans Zimmer music, or just think about things coming up that I have to look forward to :)

I can flip very easily and a tiny tiny little thing can really piss me off a lot. What I do is, just sit by myself for some time and think of ways I could act. I narrow it down to the best possible answers and pick one that I will benefit most from.

Usually cry, that's how I deal with most things :P obviously not in public though!
I also listen to happy music, eat chocolate and sometimes ride my bike - I think exercise is a good way of calming down.

I let it build up until one day I go psyco. Usually though this "meter" of anger is "reduced" by listening to music, smacking something which will not feel it or by sleeping.

go to the park with my little cousins and watch them playing, makes you think of the good stuff in life and takes the stress away. :)

im very hot headed and have a bit of a temper and i get stressed out easy.. um i find lashing out at people helps LOL

i can go through through stages where im unable to eat because ive gotten so stressed, last time i lost a stone and a half, so obv im not very good at managing to calm down lol.

Well.. Usually - I just listen to music.. The music i listen to - Metal, Heavy Metal, Metal-Core ect.. Its 'Shouting' music or 'Screamo' But that seems to get rid of the anger.. Like.. Sort of shouts like you want to I dont know.. Its weird :s But yeah..

Find some work to do, stick on music loudly, read a book, veg infront of the telly. Anything that avoids entering into a conflict really.

Er.. I'm a generally calm person and it takes a lot to really anger me. I've never really been properly mad or upset, just because I either accept something or decline it and walk off.

If there is someone being stupid at school though, I'll just moan about them to my friend for a couple of minutes and I'm done :P
