View Full Version : Paul Grey of Slipknot found dead
Des Moines, Iowa; May 24, 2010 -- A local hotel worker found the bassist dead this morning. Paul Grey, known as #2, or "The Pig" in the self-titled years, the lively bassist from Los Angeles who relocated with family to Des Moines and joined Slipknot and has played for the entire Slipknot career up to this point. Paul had a darker side to his life, dealing with drugs and alcohol abuse, and then getting married and expecting a child with his wife, Brenna, later this year.
I first saw Slipknot at Dotfest 2 in 1997, shortly after they formed and right before they were signed. Clown came out and moshed with the crowd, and Pig had his pig mask on and was WICKED on the bass!
Paul will be missed.

That is horrible to say after someone has died. We all have different musical tastes and you should respect that.

It happens whenever a popular person dies, MJ, jade gooding(?) are a few of the top of my head.

Pretty sure Slipknot aren't an emo band.
I never really liked Slipknot, but I'm guessing this will be the end of them
Some people are messed up, Paul Gray is an amazing bass player, whether you like Slipknot or not sitting saying "I hope they stop making music" is just sick, I hope you have a nice time rotting in hell, at the moment nothing official has come from Roadrunner or Slipknot themselves so alot of people are still skeptical, although I'm fairly convinced he's dead, amazing band lost and amazing bass player.
Also Slipknot are not "emo", if you want emo go check My Chemical Romance and Bring me the Horizon. :rolleyes:

It's part of the show, if you don't like it don't look, I bet part of the reason they do it is because they laugh at people like you, they're not the only band that wore masks, KISS did it first, then you have bands like GWAR and LORDI who wear full outfits, Mushroomhead and Hollywood undead also wear masks, it's just part of the show and what they want to do, just like the woman in your sig looks like a hooker because people like you will drool over it.

So what if she looks like a hooker, it sells, grown up mask wearing moshers dont. Rihanna is hot, thats why people drool over her. The only people that drool over Slipknot are probably disabled and cant keep their mouths shut long enough to stop it flowing like the Niagara falls.

Since nothing has even been confirmed yet it may of been natural, it's likely drug abuse but for the moment no one knows, if you want to try cover up for how sick and pathetic you are by saying that before it's even confirmed go ahead, you're just another typical "I hate Slipknot because they're ****" type of person, who hates something just because it's not dressed like a tramp and airbrushed to no ends.

No, there is a good reason why it's called "pop" music, her music can be God awful and still sell, Justin Babyface for example, the "Cheeky Girls" and that "Las Ketchup" or whatever they're called, Slipknot probably have more powerful music than Rihanna can even comprehend, the only difference is one is lazily produced using computers and crap while the other requires more physical effort than *double click to open Reason* or whatever they use.

It's alright, I'm not saying any of this is bad, other than Justin Bieber or however you spell it, but he's just a little kid that really hasn't experienced enough of life to write some of the stuff he sings, I'm sure Rihanna has a song or two I like but that does not make her better in anyway, she's more popular because there are more people in the world that like the pop genre, it's not that Slipknot don't sell well, it's just pop music is called pop music for a reason.
