Could this be moved from Discuss Anything to Spam? It creates no discussion whatsoever, and if anybody actually cared or wanted to know what the weather is like where a person lives then they would check the weather forecast for that area. And lets be honest, certain people are just abusing it.

even though its my thread, i agree it's not really a discussion anymore. So i think it should be moved to spam aswell.

but its like a what are you currently drinking/eating thread. Just weather,

noooooooo keep it out of spam

No because then you'd have to do the same to 'what are you listening to' 'what did you watch last' ect.. they all have the same concept, to move one to spam and then to leave the rest is just silly.

I don't personally have a problem with it, and I think moving it to spam would simply kill it.

All these types of threads are basically spam. But then again, they don't belong in spam. If they are placed into spam, most likely the entire thread will die and end up being lost but then if it doesn't move to spam, people will abuse it for raising their post count. Maybe there should be a subforum for these specific type of threads.

I quite like it. It's no different to 'what are you listening to' what are you eating/drinking/watching etc. Some people may simply have an interest in what the weather is like in other parts of the world etc, and it's only fair to let people say such stuff. xD Yes, it's kinda like spam and isnt the best 'Discussion', but it isn't completely pointless in terms of what it offers.

So does it mean I can post straight after my previous post if the weather has changed? :P

I doubt the whether would change completely after you've just posted. It doesn't usually go from darkness and rain to light and sunshine within 10-20 seconds :P

That would be silly though, and everyone has common sense. I only post once in the morning, and as Luke said. I doubt the weather would change that quick.

You could say that about food/drink one though.

One minute I could be eating ma jaffa cake, then ma curry could arrive and I would be munching a pitta bread. Either way, I think this thread follows almost the same principles as the others.

As mentioned above, it's a common sense issue really, and I don't think having it in Discuss anything is doing any harm

Not to an extent that it would be an extreme change in that short space of time though. Not where I am anyway :P

Agreed. Sometimes there is the odd sun to lightning, it is of a rare occasion.

However, I do not think it should go in spam. If people use it properly, then fine. If they abuse it, procedures should be taken.

Yea, there really wouldn't be a significant change worth posting in that short space of time though :P I agree that it's fine where it is, provided the majority of people use it properly and with common sense. Those who don't can be dealt with :)

It doesn't really bother me any more. I've tried, but no-one listens. The standards of decent discussions have decreased massively, lets be honest though and as much as staff disagree I know that I'm right in saying staff don't care about quality they care about quantity.

I don't think it should be moved.

Like some might not get this but our definition of a Spam forum and a thread like this are not the same!!!!! I think Jamesy has agreed me on a post about this before.. their pretty much two different things. Habbox's spam is where people just talk and get on and I don't think it would suit it.. probably just go off topic.

Well then they should make a sub forum for all other crap and have posts disabled. The only users who deserve post count are those who post constructive comments.

To be honest, how can you have a tidy discussion about the weather?

Sunny where I am

Lucky you!

That's about it, and true Richie.. Oh well. :)

Let's look into the drink thread then

For example "Im drinking coke"

there is not much difference. And spam isn't the correct place to put these sorts of threads.

True, I like the idea about a seperate forum, but this most likely won't happen

Only because the forum will look dead & obviously habbox don't want that because they know it'll look bad. I don't bother posting around the forum much any more, its completely pointless and boring. Threads like these should never have been allowed, simple as. Its a discussion forum & asking someone what they are drinking isn't a discussion, its a question followed by a short answer.

I disagree. If someone wanted to have a tidy discussion about the weather, then they quite easily could. There is alot more to talk about than just 'it's sunny' or 'it's dark' - that's not all the weather is. However, this doesn't have much to do with the thread we're talking about. Yes, it's about the weather but all it asks is what the whether is like where you currently are and nothing else.
