Ever since I was diagnosed with Chron's disease back this time last year I've had problems. It could have been the severe weight loss or crippling stomach pains that landed me in it at any day and I've been a time bomb literally waiting to explode into a larger problem. Basically, to keep things short and sweet I've exploded; it's been messy, really messy. Doctors decided to investigate under anesthetic and what they found was in their own words was "gruesome". My intestine was torn, ulcerated and basically pulped so they removed a larger section and replaced it with a stoma bag. I'm not walking yet and the road to recovery is huge but I'll get there. Happy new year!

That's awful Joey. I'm sure that the doctors have done their best and have fixed you up the best they can. Hopefully 2011 will actually be a happy new year for you.

ow. hope u get better soon, sounds sucky. Atleast you're recovering!
And on a slight opitimistic note, the year can't get much worse?

I'm not going to jinx myself and say that, luck hasn't favored me recently.

You are in a bad condition and you come on Habbox Forum to tell us, that has to take some guts. Seriously no pun intended.

Haha. I've not got a great deal of activities lined up, I think the most exciting might just be breakfast.

Is that a temp or a perm stoma?
I don't think anyone is positive on giving me an answer to this yet, I think it may be dependent on keeping myself clean and healthy for the next six months because i know i have it for that long at the very least. Fingers crossed though! ;)
It's brilliant to pop onto here at night on my little notebook to be boosted by such gracious replies, they really mean a lot to me and they are more than certainly helping in getting me through what is a very tough stay in hospital.

damn i don't know you but i really do feel for you. this happened to someone i dearly love - except the stoma was on the outside... it is indeed a long road to recovery, but you seem quite positive so i'm sure you will get there sooner rather than later - hope your year treats you better than it has done

Hi Mizki, thanks for taking the time to post. I'm not really sure what stoma I have and I'll need to do some looking into the matter, I know I can see and touch part of my intestine but that's about that. Thanks again.

Thought I'd update the thread and let everyone know that I'm out of hospital, twenty one stitches straight up through my belly button towards my chest but they come out on Monday. I spoke yesterday with a doctor who told me I was one day away from death because the hole in my colon would have ruptured and leaked, the risk of infection when stools are released out into the inner body are so great.
Again, thanks to everyone here for their kind comments and gestures. You helped me keep my chin up and that's really what I needed, thanks.
