I'm going to try it for the next 30 days see how I get on. I'm going to be eating like a rabbit, the joys. Has anyone tried a detox diet? Does any of you have tips on what to eat during the diet because obviously you're very limited.
"Detox diets are dumb"
I never asked if they were good or not I simply want tips

uh what sort of detoxing is it? diets as a whole never work.. best thing is to eat less and exercise more. no point cutting out anything, as soon as you start eating again you'll put weight back on. if its for cleansing only then you really have to be careful. i have tried juice only diets, water only, complete fasting, oil pulling etc and they all left me feeling seriously drained and ill. if you want to lose weight you have to eat less, just take a little bit off your portions each time and eat little regularly instead of a lot at one time
for detox you can only eat organic fruit n veg and water or the fruit/veg blended everything else is not allowed. 30 days? you're mad, by day 4 i was feeling mentally and physically weak. feels good the first 2. take it fron experience please. I advise against it if u just want to lose weight. otherwise i suggest you youtube for people's diaries on it and see the effects yourself. would link you to one but on ipod...

There are all sorts of detox and flush diets, and unless you've been chewing on lead and drinking paint for the past week or so it probably won't do a lot for you except switch up your bowel activity

I can eat this (http://altmedicine.about.com/od/detoxcleansing/a/Foods_Eat.htm) I can't eat http://altmedicine.about.com/od/detoxcleansing/a/Foods_Eat.htmthis (http://altmedicine.about.com/od/detoxcleansing/a/Foods_Avoid.htm) people say diets don't work but neither does trying to stick to exercise and portion control, I've tried it and I just fail. I went 3-4months with it then I just say "ah il treat myself" then one thing lead to another (wow it makes it sounds like I have sex with food) I might aswell explore my routes, even if I do put it back on once its not more than I weigh already I'll be happy as I explored a new diet.

well good luck avoiding sugar... fruit has a lot of sugar in it, most things do even if its not naturally occuring.
no, it does work. diets dont work cause you give in to temptation and then wont stop cause you've deprived yourself. if you take smaller portions, eat it slowly (takes your brain 20 minutes to tell you you're full) and eat only when you need to you'll lose weight. if you want to treat yourself then you can but you dont NEED to eat all of it..... diets wont work.
detoxing is only beneficial once in a while and not for weight loss. honestly youtube people's progress.... however, its up to you and i wish you good luck but 30 days.... not gonna happen

Then where am I going wrong? The more I exercise and control my portions the more I want to eat even more crappy foods.

You're going wrong by giving in to that craving. If I'm told to lace a ball at goal but decide to chip it over it's not my coach's fault that I don't score
just eat less and do more man
dont drink calories and eat bare meat / vegatables is best way to fill you up and stay below maintenence
