One Piece (ワンピース, Wan Pīsu? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Installing_Japanese_character_sets)) is a Japanese shonen manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since August 4, 1997. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who gains elastic abilities after inadvertently eating a supernatural fruit, and his diverse crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy explores the ocean in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as the One Piece and to become the next Pirate King. On his journey, Luffy battles a wide variety of villains and makes several friends.


Since its release, One Piece has become one of the most popular manga series of all time in Japan. It is the highest-selling manga of all time in the history of Weekly Shōnen Jump, as well as currently being its most acclaimed manga.It enjoys a high readership, with more than 202 million volumes of the series sold by 2011. Reviewers have praised the art, characterization, and humor of the story.

Do you read/watch? Watch it every week as soon as it's out :D
- If not, why not? Don't read it simply because of the amount of episodes I have watched, don't want to ruin the anime because the manga is better :')

Character? Zoro ftw, just love him <3 though Sanji has his perks :P
Villian? Well I'd say hawkeyes if he counts but he's not so much a villian xP if in terms of pirates then Shanks :P but in terms of the navy, have to go for Aokiji :P.
Arc? Thriller Bark :D
Opening 9 or the original first opening :D <3 love it... WE ARE! That or number 5 xP
Ending Hmmmm, 1 was quite good :P I do love 4 once it gets in to it :P 9 was decent enough to listen to :) as was 14 I supose :P 16 was fantastic though, a real ending :D though I couldn't listen to it every time, 17 was nice but I liked the video to 18 :').
What do you like about the series? How it is always worth watching, week in week out :P

What do you like about the series? The story, characters, style, the art, the twists and it dosen't get boring and stale like other series have a habbit of doing coffNaruto CoffBleach

incase anyone is interested Funimation is bringing out cheaper boxsets for one piece. $25-30 for 26 eps. if you like the show buy it so more dvds wil come out. probs find it on amazon for £15ish soon

Fancied a new one. Should watch one piece.

As for dvds. bit tricky. Can only get them for America meaning there region 1 dvds. So you have to import them. use ebay,amazon sellers etc.
Good site i use Planetaxel.com you pay a bit extra than you would but you dont get hit with custom charges which normally cost about £12

All dvds come with 12-14 episodes. Good subs, And a good dub aswell also commentary from the english va's. nice wee sets to have imo.

I will probally ask my mum to buy them for me and pay her the money since I don't have a credit card. I'll most likely use eBay or Amazon just compare prices and see what looks better. I will have to resort to watching it online till this happens.
