Do you have any christmas traditions like, things your family do around Christmas?

Like, on Christmas Eve we always get new PJ's! and for tea, always get a take-away,

not really no. in recent years we haven't spent christmas at home and won't be this year - so i guess not doing a traditional christmas is our christmas tradition :P

Well before life was interrupted a few years ago it used to be a big breakfast of eggs and **** with a classic roast for dinner however that's been dieing out really from personal issues and my brothers going to work on christmas etc. We also get like a small thing at dinner as a token, and the same at new years (but thats slightly irrelevant) and I guess over the next few years me and my brothers will move out, so those traditions will go.

Nothing really, Nan and Grandad started coming down in recent years but not sure about this year because he's had a stroke.

Working on persuading him to come down regardless.

Our tradition is for our entire family to go to my grandmother's house on my father's side on Christmas Eve and open presents together. On Christmas morning just my family would wake up and stay upstairs until we are all awake, then go downstairs and exchange gifts together.

I'm not sure if we will do that this year, my aunt passed away from cancer several months ago, and my parent's divorced, so I imagine as Christmas approaches this year that it might be a little awkward and probably involve some fighting between a few people in our family.

yesss, i love christmas because it's one of the rare times my family will put aside their differences and we can spend the day getting drunk together and actually enjoying each others company

christmas eve we'll meet up with cousins and just chill til about 7, then everyone goes home. my old school has a tradition where ever past pupil will go to the local pub so i go there with old school friends and that's always hilarious...besides the walk home if it's really snowy :(

christmas day we get up, open presents then go visit my grandma and so do a few other relatives, we stay for like an hour then come home. then each year either we go to my cousins house or my cousins come to our house (they live across the road) for christmas dinner and thats always my fav bit cos we end up getting really drunk and it's nice to have a laugh with em

we also always get advent calendars and new pjs.

Often instead of having a normal christmas day we just get a whole load of junk food, chocolate, drinks, snacks etc. and just lounge around all day watching christmas TV instead of fathing around with a roast turkey and all that.

haha I always get new pjs for christmas.
Our routine is waking up early to open presents. Mum and Dad go back to bed. Me and my sister stick on a new dvd we got. Get dressed. Have Christmas Dinner. In the evening, my aunts, uncles, cousins, granny and granda etc all go to my cousins house and play like those tv games and stupid things. My granny and granda come for boxing day dinner.

I always watch The Snowman and Tokyo Godfathers either on Christmas Day or a couple of days before, without fail.

Other traditions depend on who I am with. If I am at my mums for Christmas, we'll get up pretty early and each assign ourselves an area in the front room with our presents and open them at the same time. If I am at my dads, then myself, my dad and my brother will open our presents in the morning before heading to my aunties house to meet up with everyone else and open the rest. A bit of Christmas telly never goes amiss either and if we're at my aunties we'll usually have a game of Trivial Pursuit.

Mine is like,

Christmas Eve nan will come around for like a few hours, then to sisters then older brothers, then like later we'll get new PJS, bubble bath then have like a KFC and watch a good movie.

Christmas day its getting up around 6-8, depending on what time I get woke up, then its just open presents, Nan and uncle will come around. for like a few hours and then me nan will come around at like 8pm again for a bit.

Also a bit of a tradition to watch the christmas special of Doctor Who and everyone has to be silent.

You never struck me as the kind of person to watch it.

I normally end up watching it by myself :'(

we always used to go to my grandmas (i say grandmas but my uncles, aunties, great grandma, great grandad, grandads wife and grandad live there so it's not but it is) house n open presents and have a meal (was never turkey etc. still normal rice etc.) but last year we made use of the fam restaurant and ate there instead, but my grandad invited his FRIENDS FAMILY THAT DON'T HAVE LIVES over to EAT WITH US and they had their own seperate table n he ate with them... defeating the point and he didnt even speak to us at all and had to give us our stuff days after xmas

i presume we'll be at the restaurant this year too but no1 even bothered with presents so it was a bore .

In the past we've been to my Nan's house, had Christmas Dinner, then move onto snowballs (the drink) then eventually vodka and wine. That's pretty much it. This year we're going to a friends house and doing the same there (makes a change really)

Wake up at 6. Wake up my mum, go downstairs and open my presents, around a quarter way through my dad wakes up and joins us.
I finish opening mine, my mum and dad open theirs and then we have breakfast get dressed so on.
Come downstairs and have Christmas Dinner with crackers, then play with presents and things, then it sort of turns into a normal day. We justchill out and then go to bed.

WELL christmas is a bit weird for us cause it's my little sisters birthday too, so it's kinda half xmas/half emmys birthday and she'll be 10 this year, so that'll be quite sweet. it's also a bit weird for me cause (lollifestory) my mom left 2 years ago, and it was always my moms family that come over on xmas day so its a bit quiet with me and my dad and my sisters but owell so yeh. always get jimjamz xmas eve, then we get up rly early, get bored about 11, have a domestic about dinner, dad falls asleep, watch a film, ave a bath, go 2 bed.
