    Default Christmas traditions?

Do you have any christmas traditions like, things your family do around Christmas?

Like, on Christmas Eve we always get new PJ's! and for tea, always get a take-away,

Well before life was interrupted a few years ago it used to be a big breakfast of eggs and **** with a classic roast for dinner however that's been dieing out really from personal issues and my brothers going to work on christmas etc. We also get like a small thing at dinner as a token, and the same at new years (but thats slightly irrelevant) and I guess over the next few years me and my brothers will move out, so those traditions will go.

Nothing really, Nan and Grandad started coming down in recent years but not sure about this year because he's had a stroke.

Working on persuading him to come down regardless.

Our tradition is for our entire family to go to my grandmother's house on my father's side on Christmas Eve and open presents together. On Christmas morning just my family would wake up and stay upstairs until we are all awake, then go downstairs and exchange gifts together.

I'm not sure if we will do that this year, my aunt passed away from cancer several months ago, and my parent's divorced, so I imagine as Christmas approaches this year that it might be a little awkward and probably involve some fighting between a few people in our family.

yesss, i love christmas because it's one of the rare times my family will put aside their differences and we can spend the day getting drunk together and actually enjoying each others company

christmas eve we'll meet up with cousins and just chill til about 7, then everyone goes home. my old school has a tradition where ever past pupil will go to the local pub so i go there with old school friends and that's always hilarious...besides the walk home if it's really snowy

christmas day we get up, open presents then go visit my grandma and so do a few other relatives, we stay for like an hour then come home. then each year either we go to my cousins house or my cousins come to our house (they live across the road) for christmas dinner and thats always my fav bit cos we end up getting really drunk and it's nice to have a laugh with em

we also always get advent calendars and new pjs.

Often instead of having a normal christmas day we just get a whole load of junk food, chocolate, drinks, snacks etc. and just lounge around all day watching christmas TV instead of fathing around with a roast turkey and all that.

haha I always get new pjs for christmas.
Our routine is waking up early to open presents. Mum and Dad go back to bed. Me and my sister stick on a new dvd we got. Get dressed. Have Christmas Dinner. In the evening, my aunts, uncles, cousins, granny and granda etc all go to my cousins house and play like those tv games and stupid things. My granny and granda come for boxing day dinner.
