but from what I heard, Jin isnt MAKING money from Habbox, if anything he's putting money into it to keep it going.

I personally doubt this, Id say hes just making less than he was originally.
From what I can gather, the adverts could cover the cost for the server and whatever else Habbox needs. Now it doesn't and money is coming out of Jin and Sierk's pockets which is why they want something done. In terms of the adverts getting shown to all users etc etc etc.

There was a time when Habbox was making money. When I used to work in Habbox Help Desk I remember my manager (GJay I think) told me Sierk paid all managers 1 or 2 pound a month (or free vip) as a token of his gratitude because he was making profit.

you're really giving people to much credit. the fact is most people will get confused, its better to just call it all vip.

The only problem is..
HABBO FANSITES MUST NOT:
* Offer Hacking, Scripting or Editing Programs.
* Publish any unreleased news regarding updates, new furni or features without Sulake's prior permission.
* Ask visitors for their Habbo passwords or personal information such as telephone numbers or home address.
* Charge users for premium services such as VIP access.
* Act as an affiliate for a commercial entity, nor offer merchandise (including Habbo furni) or services for sale.
* Offer to buy, sell or trade Habbo accounts for real money or Habbo Credits.
* Break the law or talk others into breaking it.
* Publish any material which may be offensive to other users or contains sexual content.
* Publish any personal information, pictures, video or documents belonging to Sulake Corporation Oy or its employees.
* Use slander or any other form of bullying in order to harass other people.
* Disrupt the operation of any other fansite nor disrupt the Hotel community.
* Replicate any part of the Habbo Hotel service ('Retro' Hotels, Habbo Home clones etc).
* Operate a Radio service that broadcasts music illegally.
* Represent that your site is approved by or affiliated with Sulake Corporation Oy or that any other content on your site is approved by or affiliated with Sulake Corporation Oy.
This is still in the Fansite Way.

Yeah I think this is what should be done :D. Limited edition with a forum award will definitely encourage sales - and I still think maybe my idea of the counter showing how much has been donated in the last month or something could be good - and have targets so if it's about to reach a target - e.g. £50 then it might encourage people to buy some more. Like when charity VIP was sold, people were giving it away just to get it up to £500. I know it's not the same, but still, might make a difference plus would be interesting to see how much is sold :P.
I counted at least 75 members with paid subscriptions that have logged in today. Not counting anniversary VIP.

I know it's not the same, but still, might make a difference plus would be interesting to see how much is sold :P.
yeah, i wouldn't do a pop out thing at side as it was stupidly buggy, just like something at top or bottom of the forum saying how much is gained so far (accurately this time!!!!!!)

Donator should remain as it is:
- £1
- £3 3 months
- £6 6 months
Then VIP could be:
- £2
- £5 3 months
- £10 6 months
As for VIP+ I would think competitions only, but as someone said earlier I guess you may as well have it for sale anyway - even if it is expensive - just so that people have the choice of buying it if they wish to.
So VIP+
- £3
- £8 3 months
- £15 6 months
OR
- £2.50
- £7 3 months
- £14 6 months

Now that I'm not forced to disable AdBlock, I thought I would comment on a view things.
Sulake sent a DMCA to Habbox within the past couple of weeks.
I wouldn't worry about a DMCA from Sulake which states the forum is an emulation, the site which I won't mention gets a few of them stating that the forums are an emulation and we're still around. On the other hand, if Sulake directly link to certain threads, then it would be safe to say they would like that content removed. Otherwise, I would ignore them and advice your host that it's 'fake' or 'incomplete' or 'wrong'.
The only problem is.. This is still in the Fansite Way.
Mr-Trainor is right, The Fansite Way added that Fansites cannot charge for special features such as VIP. Which is quite silly, but I suppose they don't want you profiting from their content.
