Surprised no one posted this.

There are a lot of reports already, didn't know which to use. They're still trying to find people - the death toll has decreased though due to double counting.

Doesn't look good. And guess who's going to Oklahoma City as well... :(

They only had an hour notice, even the bunker built for it couldn't withstand it. Devastating, they say they're still looking for people in schools and nearby areas, but they can't guess if they're alive or not now.

Yeah, I saw that at least two schools were hit, and the damage looked quite bad. Saw another image where you can see the path of the tornado has just destroyed everything, but 5 houses down the road, and there's just a bit of debris, nothing too bad. It's crazy.
What I don't understand is why all the houses are made so flimsy... I suppose it's all down to the money in the end...
yeah i was reading about it loads last night. They said it's the biggest one in reordered history? Not sure if that is true.
But watch this, it's so heart breaking :(
But has a happy ending lol.

It's not the biggest in history, was only a F4.
And I'm glad she got her dog, doesn't look too hurt either :)

Yeah my mum and uncle just burst out crying when that came on the TV.
They're now saying, in the 24 that are dead, 7 are children.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxaM1codWRswas watching that earlier on tv, so cute!!
it's so sad watching the news and seeing all the houses and schools torn about, such a pity. the poor kids, just getting ready to go home and that happens :(their houses just look like they're made from pieces of wood, surely they'd try and make them more sturdy?

I'm thinking that too. Surely the cost of clean up and repair will be in the millions, but if that was spent in the first place creating more sturdy structures, would that not be of benefit?

That's just awful..
RIP
It must be so hard to recover after a tornado.. everything you own is gone. Poor people :(

Low-cost supply and many can build out of wood and then spend the savings on lavishing the house up with flat screen tvs etc.
It is absolutely silly. I saw the rebuilding process after some tornado hit a few years back and they started rebuilding yet again out of wood, defies all logical sense.

I thought it was an F5 but F4 is just as bad. I feel bad for these people really :( Damn tornadoes........
Such a tragedy. That video about the dog just broke my heart, too.
Was speaking to my mum about it, and like some others have said, surely they'd rebuild their houses with better materials?

Gov Fallin said the trail of destruction was about 20 miles (32km) long and the twister was as wide as 2 miles at times."

The width if that tornado was unbelievable 2 miles wide just shows you how rapidly the world is changing and what will soon become of it
