    Default Oklahoma Tornado

    Surprised no one posted this.

There are a lot of reports already, didn't know which to use. They're still trying to find people - the death toll has decreased though due to double counting.

They only had an hour notice, even the bunker built for it couldn't withstand it. Devastating, they say they're still looking for people in schools and nearby areas, but they can't guess if they're alive or not now.

Yeah, I saw that at least two schools were hit, and the damage looked quite bad. Saw another image where you can see the path of the tornado has just destroyed everything, but 5 houses down the road, and there's just a bit of debris, nothing too bad. It's crazy.

What I don't understand is why all the houses are made so flimsy... I suppose it's all down to the money in the end...

It's not the biggest in history, was only a F4.

Yeah my mum and uncle just burst out crying when that came on the TV.

They're now saying, in the 24 that are dead, 7 are children.

was watching that earlier on tv, so cute!!

it's so sad watching the news and seeing all the houses and schools torn about, such a pity. the poor kids, just getting ready to go home and that happens their houses just look like they're made from pieces of wood, surely they'd try and make them more sturdy?

I'm thinking that too. Surely the cost of clean up and repair will be in the millions, but if that was spent in the first place creating more sturdy structures, would that not be of benefit?
