So, how much does your student accommodation cost?

Mine costs, £4,410 for a 42 week contract so thats, like £105 a week.

In first year mine was £112 for a 42 week contract and next year my house is £80 per week for a 52 week contract.

So first year was £4704 excluding the £200 deposit and including all my bills.
Second year will be 4160 excluding the £200 deposit, the £75 admin fee, and all the bills.

second year house was £200 a month (12 months contract)
third year appartment was £215 (got it on a 10 months contract though)

Not quite sure how this is working out, I'll be paying £3,875 over a 50 week period (bills not included) and yet I can guarantee our property will be one of the nicer ones on this thread.

Location, location, location!

What is the standard of your accommodation - Catchy / Daltron? Mines low rent and yet the landlord has completely gutted the house so everything inside will be brand new, including under floor heating. I'm putting it down to location.

Here the lowest is $250 a week not including bills for utilities which are estimated $1800 every 6 months.

That's £150 per week plus £1080 aprox utilities :o

Although the standard is beyond outstanding. All new, modern design and comes with car space.

Just typical student accommodation however in London so that's why my prices are high lol. Zone 3 as well so wouldn't even want to know what central prices are like...

first year, uni accommodation was £120 a week, but I got £800 bursary to take off of it, and it was 42 week contract. You do the maths :P

last year was £95 a week with about £30 a week bills, 40 week contract

next year will be £85 and probably about £25 in bills. 42 week contract, but got to pay for summer rent as well, that's £60 a week for 12 weeks.

Yea, it is def location. My halls were brand new and my 3rd year apartment was only built. The guy was an architect and did it himself so it was lovely, and always warm. I only paid like £50 for electricity and heat for like the whole year.
