Do your parents make you pay rent?

Last year when I wasn't in college I didn't have to pay rent and I was shocked to see that it's a common thing????? I think it's pretty unfair tbh

I've not lived at home since I was 16, but when I did I didn't. I think it's only fair if you have money coming in that you should pay rent once you're over 18 or working as you're a big girl/boy at that stage :P

I dont live when them anymore but i come home some weekends or even for weeks if i'm working closer to them than my house. they don't charge me rent, seems a little unfair to me if they charge rent but i have friends who's parents do charge them!

Nope and my mum will never make me pay rent. She's told me I can come back anytime I need to but she'd also never lend me any money at all so I can come back instead.

Well as im 15 and still in school but it would be fair if i started paying rent as long ad i had a job and i was out of secondary school

nope but my parents keep talking abt me having to pay back the rent owed in my 15+years alive and 9 months in my mums womb

tbh if you've got money coming in and are over 18 then you should be paying your parents for putting a roof over your head

my mum buys the shopping, does my washing most of the time, i use the water for showers + i use the electricity everyday etcetcetc
I'd feel bad if I didn't give my mum any money
