Do you put your bread in the fridge?

I am genuinely curious about this. I was reading an article the other day and it was speaking about how it's apparently harmful to your bread to pop it in the fridge and I had honestly never heard of ANYONE putting their bread in their fridge! Is this like legit a thing???

If you pop it in the fridge, why???

I put our bread in the freezer so it lasts longer but that's it.

i put teacakes in my fridge sometimes usually if its gonan be for my dinner at work so it keeps chilled longer

no because it collects moisture and goes off quicker. and it stinks out the fridge, my housemate did this and i was constantly binning her bread.

I put rolls in the fridge if I'm staying on my own because they dry out slower but otherwise no, no need for it

Ahh so that's why bread in grocery stores aren't put in fridges, interesting. Well I put bread in the fridge - have grown up doing so. Nothing has ever happened to the bread. :P To be specific...the bread I eat and put in the fridge is wheat bread. White bread just makes me feel sick lool.

My nan used to put it in the fridge, no idea why. She was the only person I knew that did that. Sometime when bread is on offer we will buy it and then freeze it, saves a few pennies.

Yah we can never finish a loaf in time before it's time to throw in the bin, so pop it in the freezer and only use when it's needed :) also, a few days old bread scares me as I don't like the hardness of it :( whereas when it's been freezed straight away I trust it more haha

mum puts ours in the fridge and always has. It changes the texture of it and I don't really like it so I just don't eat that much bread (unless it's toast every now and then). We go through 2 loafs a week so we put 1 in the freezer too. When it's hot it goes off a lot quicker if it's sitting in the cupboard.

I have never put bread in the fridge. Freezer, yeah. Aaha when I was first year of university I would put single slices of bread in the freezer so I would always have food :')
