[HELP] Sims 3 Crash [+9REP]

I played Sims 3 about 4 months ago and stopped it because it always crashed. The brightness would change and then it would crash the computer taking me to the blue screen and a restart.

I came to play it again (with Ambitions expansion pack) and updated it to the latest and it still crashes the same way. I looked around and used this DEP method but that just made it crash the game (not computer) as soon as I was playing the game.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I use to save it like every 5 minutes but this is just annoying so please help :D

Oh my game was doing something similar to this, but not exactly the same. I would load up my family and everything and play for about 3 minutes and it would just cut off. But I got it fixed, let me google cause I don't remember exactly how I did it.

Have you done the 'data execution prevention' thing?

And if that doesn't work, just make sure all your settings are turned down as well, sim detail, etc, it actually doesn't make that much of a difference in game,but it does make a huge difference to performance :D!
